Will this be the same for rpx part 1 - 4 folders? I got super Mario Bros working because that was one folder. I have Mario kart 8 with 3 part folders. Will this work the same?

I think you have to put all 3 folders into one folder for super Mario Kart 8.

I don’t think 7zip works with cemu. I shower wux and wua. In the video, wua works same as wux.

Pretty sure .7z is just the zip file. If you extract it you hopefully should have the 3 required folders

or you can install a windows on SD card and use your steam deck as a pc. that will work too.

I personally prefer playing botw on my oled, but this is so important for preservation and accessibility in general. Thanks man 👍

Finally worked and couldn't be more happier! Wii U games look super awesome on the Deck. Now it's time to pick up a larger SD Card. Your videos are the best for sure. I have gotten almost everything to work great utelizing your vids. Likes and Subed. One issue i am having with Wii U, & wii is utelizing the gyro properly. I got it installed as you described in videos, i think it might be an issue when i am trying to assign it correctly. For instance in wario shake it, i can't get the gyro to work correctly with aiming the thrown (ball) objects. Any suggestions?

1. yes you should able to get graphic packs for all your games 2. there is no list, you just have to manually try to see if there is pack available for the game.

@@ED4T thanks. Now that I checked, my CEMU is different than yours, it says CEMU proton (experimental), and for some reason it doesn't show any graphic packs when I open that window. Is there a way to change the CEMU, if so do you have any videos showing that?

EmuDeck updated the cemu to the proton version. But it should work same as the previous version.

That’s just different servers. I prefer mega or 1ficheir.

Using Proton 7.0, any option in File crashes the app. Using 6.3, it works fine, but it cannot find community graphic packs. Have you had any issues with Proton 7.0?

Hi, amazing tutorial! Excited to get started on this. Is it a must to download Wii U games through a Windows PC first? Is there no way to do it through the Steam Deck, my only other device is my iPad Pro :(

You can direct download from Steam Deck too. It doesn’t matter. I think you can use the Firefox browser to download but it is just slower than using download software on windows.

These types of files are hard to find. WUX files are everywhere but alot harder to get working sadly

Followed your video to help get my steamdeck running cemu wii u games. Played all the way thru captain toad treasure tracker. Now was starting to play a tougher one Assassin's creed black flag. I'm getting some very noticeable strange glirching or flickering on the screen. It's playable but it's not enjoyable this way. Didn't know if you had tried it and if there are any settings or magic that can be done to fix this?

Appreciate the video, so no need for bios/prod keys for this emulator? I have it working on my desktop, was just planning to move the files until I noticed that it lacked both

if you use EmuDeck on Steam Deck. There is no need to setup the BIOS files. EmuDeck has already taken care of that.

Thanks for your guide. It is super helpful and simple to follow. I'm running into a problem where CEMU is not picking up the rom file so it doesn't show up in The Cemu launcher in desktop mode for me to change the stetting and download updates for the game. On top of that, when I launch the game I get the error message "unable to launch game Path:...." This is after I've entered the file key for WUX file. Would you be able to offer some trouble shooting tips?

I had the same issue, I think it just doesn't like wux files or needs them to be decrypted or something. It should (?) Work if it shows up as a folder instead

Just now I was setting up my cemu, while having FTP transfer in background to steam deck, and I got zoomed in with the good tutorial, that my deck just snoozed off, and all that 1.15 hours of transfer failed at last few %. I really need to get a flash drive

Yeah ftp transfer is very slow and sometime is unstable too. Try to get a portable ssd or big size flash drive.

Is there a way to convert the folder files into a WUX file type? As I understand, WUX is a more compressed version of a Wii U rom, correct? So it would be a more efficient way to store Wii U roms in an SD card?

You are correct. Wux is more compressed file but it requires keys to make it work. You can not convert them from RPX format to WUD/WUX, the closest you can get is using cemu 1.27. 1 or newer and converting them to WUA format. If you want WUD/WUX format you will need to re dump the game in that format

I've put the Rom in the correct folder but it isn't showing up in cemu. Edit: the issue was with the key.txt file, a new one fixed it

Make sure your wux is not a corrupted file. have you ever try other wux roms?

Love the video! For some reason when I play Legend of Zelda on TV -- No problem. When trying to launch on the Steam Deck itself...it won't even load. Nor does any other Wii U game. But I can again, play them all and they load when connected to the TV. There must be a setting somewhere...any thoughts? Thanks.

try to check out the game resolution setting under the community graphic packs in the CEMU software. make sure it is 1280x720P for steam deck.

How to leave game back into emuDeck? Most emulators you can "start + select" to leave, but not on CEMU. Any ideas? For now I have to hit the STEAM Button and then close the CEMU window with X.

I used the chapter 2 method to install Zelda TP, i followed everything correctly however it still says unable to launch game when i am in gaming mode.

Your tutorial was the easiest to follow. Hope you can do the same for Yuzu some day.

Any idea why only ONE of my wiiu games show up in the steam rom manager? I have Wiiu Cemu proton and native checked, when it parse it doesnt´see the other games. They are in emu/roms/wiiu/roms as installed correctly for cemu.. and they appear in cemu if i start if in standalone..

Maybe try to get another new rom.

I get very good fps with cemu 2.0 experimental, but my BOTW crashes every time at the first shrine. I can run stable no crashes at like 10-20 fps on old cemu version 1.26f.. it's unplayable and slow motion. Fps++ does not seem to work. Any help??

With the latest update the game now shows 2 version (wii u & wii u proton) edit: it looks ugly but the wii u proton is the main one i hope they change it back it triggers my ocd but thank u man i spend so much stress tryna run this the keys were easy just like roms

yeah Emudeck updated wii u with proton version. it works same as original one.

@@ED4T nah I wind up figuring it out sir. It was weird but in the steam deck they have native and the proton version. For some reason native won’t pop up any graphic packs but proton will, but the problem that I was having is my proton version kept on crashing. And then out of the blue it just started working. So if anybody reads this and have the same issue use proton for graphic packs. Not native version

Hi does gyro work with the switch joycons?

My Cemu application freezes immediately after clicking File or any of the other drop down menus at the top. The deck itself is responsive, but I'm unable to close the program or force quit. Has anyone else had this issue?

can you delete those folder files after cemu has installed? or do you have to leave the folders in the roms Wii U folder?

yes for dlc and updates you can delete them after the installation.

This game only works with a touching screen, or you need to plug in a mouse to control.

It was designed to play on wii u gampad's screen. Actually, it requires pen originally on wii u to play.
