    You did not mention night vision googles. I think it a must for a stealth build.

    Yes, definitely! Thank you for reminding me about it. I just got used to playing without it since I always chose nerdy glasses over night vision goggles in previous versions. Now that night vision goggles are a headwear mod, they should be super useful for a stealth build from now on!

    it relaly isnt though. The darkness of the nights and indoors isnt really that deep to be actually needing any kind of light source in 1.0

    @@me0w0em I just started 1.0 and didn't find NV yet. But in 20 and 21 you could just put NV in a toolbelt slot and activate it from there. And keep the nerdy bonus at the same time.

    I am into the legendary phase of a stealth build in 1.0 and it is amazing, currently running T5 pois without "fighting" .. i play with an assassin style, do not enter the way the designers setup but find alternative ways to enter the poi ... when there are triggers for the Zs just run and hide for a few secs and the Zs lose interest and then you can take them easily ... not even getting any damage in T5s!!!

    Thank you for covering stealth as it's an under discussed mechanic. I used to love stealth but they broke it in A21 with the trigger spawns (what I call "got ya" mechanics) and I had to adopt an entirely new play style. It's good to see you can sorta make it work again mostly, but to your point the trigger mechanics will always render it broken. The only suggestion I have is, again to your own point, knowing where the triggers spawns are and having an exit strategy before you enter the room.

    Full tier 6 assassin's armor is crazy good, especially with shotgun with silencer. You can oneshot most zombies, even radioactive. Not the rad bikers, police man and etc. You could easily two-shot them tho, cause they are falling down because their hp went down by half or even more. Can easily do multiple tier 5 infestations back to back within 1 night. They can't see you point-bank, when you are not in any source of light

    "I have a baaaad feeling about this....okay... holy crap." We've all been there. Something you may want to consider: according to the text in the Hunter > Hunt Animals Challenge, the stealth damage bonus has a 10-second cooldown. Stealth playstyle is slower to begin with, but now if you want to maintain maximum damage you can't really go on a fast killing spree even if the opportunity presents itself. (This doesn't take perks and buffs into account, though)

    Nice video, but i have a question, if you had access to every melee weapon, which one would be the best for a stealth build?

  • @me0w0em

    @me0w0em

    7 күн бұрын

    My answer would be the knife category (bone knife, hunting knife, machete). This is because the weapon skill belongs to the Agility tree and has a 400% sneak damage buff, making it best suited for a stealth build. However, if you're looking for an alternative to knives and are okay with investing points in a different skill tree, I would suggest the spear. The spear has a longer range than other melee weapons, which helps with keeping distance. It also has an armor-piercing bonus (if I remember correctly), which is useful. Additionally, it uses less stamina than the sledgehammer, has a higher attack rate, and you can equip the 'Weighted Head Mod' for a bit of crowd control.

    I've always been playing with a stealth build and I'm wondering, why do you use a Hunting Knife and not a machete?

  • @me0w0em

    @me0w0em

    12 күн бұрын

    It's just a preference, I think machete is also a good choice :) I usually aim for quicker, multiple hits rather than high damage. At higher difficulty levels, sometimes my machete can't one-shot some zombies. But the hunting knife is quick and consumes less stamina, allowing me to hit repeatedly. My logic is, the more hit you land, the more chance of head dismemberment bonus.

  • @biay481

    @biay481

    12 күн бұрын

    @@me0w0em Yes, the machete definitely can't handle the Insane difficulty level, which is why I like to use the sniper rifle on tough zombies. Generally, when I play with a machete lately, stamina is usually enough for me, rarely does it take stamina, and the difference between the speed of strong attacks with a knife and a machete, it seems to me that are very similar (light knife attacks are much faster). Unfortunately, there is no attack speed for strong attacks on the wiki.

    @@biay481 Oh, that sounds interesting-maybe they've changed the stamina consumption. I've been happily content with the hunting knife for several alphas, so I haven't actually checked the stamina usage in a while. I'll check out the machete later when I play again. Thank you!
