Why would a plane even have a self destruct? That's just asking for it to explode in mid air while flying and taking the pilot with it

@@MikeTheGamer77 1. you'll have to find space on an aircraft to stullf the explosives 2. you'll add more weight to the aircraft, increasing the chances for it to be shot down 3. it would be quite an ordeal for the maintenance crew 4. there aren't a lot of stuff that can be recovered from the wreck anyway

@@nugz6252 helmet mounted coms if any wouldn't have the range to connect to a satellite. if it did it would be bigger invention than that aircraft she is piloting.

I guess the military got rid of the PRC-90, or its latest version, for a satellite capable survival radio. The PRC would be capable of dozens of miles of comms, but as she floats down within a mountain range, it would be very restricted. Those million dollar helmets may have been advanced enough to have comms, but I doubt it would be satellite capable. I hope the military would know and plan for NO SATS in an all out war.

Lesson of the day: Eject before the missile hits.

It wasn’t a missile. It was debris from Henry’s plane

the program states the canard(right front nose fairing) is frozen. The port wing system along with the tail wouldn't have any impact on the starboard canard. Also while the system is said to be hydraulic, the reality is more along the line of an electro-servo system given the sound and the diagram shown on the huge mfdd console.

Yeah independent systems. What's always been kind of annoying to me was the immediate Need to punch out of the Aircraft because of the Starboard wing being frozen and Self Destruction countdown starting. She should've been able to stay with the aircraft longer in Hope's of getting closer to the border.

@@Razgriz259 may have also been a bug in the AI that governs the fighter. It thinks that there's no chance of making it back, and immediately prepared to destroy the plane, which forced her hand into ejecting when she did. The bit that annoys me is why the Ejection system ejected her down and below the plane rather than above and away. The ACESII will actually delay the Ejection in moments like this so that the system has a higher chance of correcting the vertical alignment if it detects the seat is inverted. I get that the writers wanted to add some drama and suspense to this part of the film, but i think it may have been completely unnecessary. Heck, they could've just had them lose signal over the DPRK, and cut to her in a chute, caught in a tree, with burning debris all over the place and we could've figured out what happened.

Antoni Huergo I wonder how Kim jong In would've reacted if he saw pieces of a blown stealth aircraft falling from his airspace.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many mistakes at 0:39 the fluid would spill all over the place causing to lose control to the whole plane, and at 0:45 she should have said mayday mayday and after what she said. Next at 1:02 there is no weapon at 1:14 you need to look for the yellow and black stripes control not go to the control surfaces at 1:19 she ejected upside down and which you fall faster you eject upright at 1:34 the jet would have not exploded, and 1:41 she would have ben killed from debris caught on fire at 1:55 she would have no radio at 2:14 that altitude indicator would fly off her hands. Next at 3:22 the parachute would burn and cook her alive at 3:26 you do not closing your arms and legs when falling from the sky would injure you. In 3:29 3:31 3:32 the branches would injure you FINALLY 3:54 you would break your right arm which i have and usually die at 3:59 but this is usually a movie i watched top gun and top gun maverick which is super realistic please LIKE this comment

@@sleepcrime to be fair, her constant coms would've given away her position. Now the DPRK may not have known what was being said, but they could figure out that there were transmissions coming from a certain location that weren't theirs. Probably explains why they were able to land a helo near the site later on
