What setting did you set your cooktop for steak? 7 or 9?

My favorite!

Hi, my steak goes to medium for just 1,5 minutes. It's a 1 1/4 inch steak. And i just use 180c / 350F for the heat. Did i do something wrong?

Are you letting come to room temp? Or cooking it cold right out of the fridge ? It does make a difference

@@mandisplanet4575 yes it's already in room temp. I submerged it in running tap water for about 1 hour

If you want it to be a medium rare ? Marinate and sit in fridge in the morning, leave in fridge until you are ready to cook . If you cook when it's cool for 3 to 4 minutes on each side you will have a medium rare steak . Try it out and let me know how it turns out

Use a probe thermometer
