I am italian, living in italy. Most of my friends are Nigerian migrants here. Festus is telling a fact: many migrants look to italy like the promise land and they are punctually dissapointed by reality. In italy there are few work, the italian law for resident permits is very slow and unsure. Migrants face here an other kind of poverty. I wish to any of them a better life and they Nigerians for me are always welcome

It is up for the population of each of the countries mentioned here to unite and demand that their governments work for resource and not for the interests of their clan order for alone. Nigeria especially is rich in raw materials and a resourceful people. It is a shame that its people have to leave and face such horrific ordeal because there aren't jobs and hope for a better life at home. It is especially shameful when there is a concentration of wealthy people living in palatial homes in Lagos, Abuja and elsewhere in the country. How can they live with themselves when fellow citizens are experiencing such inhuman conditions? Stop blaming the West and look into yourselves for a great share of the blame.

They don’t choose the captain like that, there are a lot of Senegalese and Gambians that can drive it so they choose them down. They use normal small boat engine, and there’s no way u can see Italy with that boat, it’s takes 3 day to reach Italy with big ship on a steady moving. But it a very terrible journey. I was kidnapped 2 times on that see the 3rd time on 22 of November 2016 my boat capsized we lost 20+ people and they took me to prison after 13 hours on the sea. Yet I still went ahead again. To cut the story short, I made it after 1 year and 2 month. Now I live without fear, no police harassment, by the special grace of God soon I will welcome my first child from a Dutch mom.

People should please manage the amount of money they gather for travelling for business no matter how small, put your trust in it, be positive and you will surely succeed. Also, if you want to travel, do it the legal way, it works out cheaper and safer. You can also travel with our passport to almost all the continents in the world without visa so what are we talking about.
