"Stay" is a song about fighting for life.
I was diagnosed with PTSD a few years ago and ever since then I've gone through some extremely dangerous and dark times where I have felt like I was never going to get to better times. Those times have brought me to the precipice of suicide a few times in my life. I have been so fortunate to have the right people in my life to show me the love and support I needed to feel connected to the world and try to get better.
Mental health issues are so complicated and our experiences vary dramatically. I do know that surviving yourself and your wounded mind takes active effort. We never passively get better - it requires action, honesty and self-love.
We are all worthy of healthy stability and happiness. If you feel yourself losing the ability to see that, the time is now for you to reach out.
It takes so much strength to ask for help.

This video features the amazing work of Lark Detweiler. They are a professional dancer who experiences deafness who incorporates ASL to their interpretive dances so beautifully.

I just heard someone say a good reason to stay is that "you haven't met everyone who is going to love you, yet" And that struck me so hard. And this song. I didn't know I needed this. I haven't felt depressed lately. But my soul needed a song like this. You've nailed it. This is such a damn good song. Written by someone who has lived it. You can FEEL this song. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. If anyone in the comments just needs to talk, vent, cry, scream into the void, laugh with... anything... I'm here and I'm more than happy to do those things with y'all. You are loved. You ARE worthy. And you deserve happiness, kindness and love. I've been there. I've been in the depths of despair and not knowing a way out or seeing a light anywhere. I won't give unsolicited advice. I'll be your friend and listen. You're not alone. I struggle so severely with my mental health, my own depression, crippling anxieties, my living situation is horrible. Everyday is the same, same struggle, with no way out. I have been the worse I have ever been, and even thoughts of falling back into old bad habits again, this band has helped me try everything in my power to heal and to keep moving so I can get to where I want to be, wherever that is. Love you guys 💚

Beautiful....lyrically & Lark's performance. Sign language & other nonverbal/nonspeaking communication sometimes conveys emotional experiences much more deeply than verbal words. Crying my ass off & looking forward to hearing this live in June

Congratulations in selling something that’s been done over and over and over. This is the MySpace metalcore or whatever it was answer for today…also that oh so word magic “goth” word has to be tied into the genre (even though it’s far from it) All the “goth” bands you claim to like hate the term goth… kinda ironic, no? Well as long as it makes you money. Keep buying into whatever the popular “underground” is selling people…
