    I saw a news video this morning that Serge is back in Kiev Ukraine taking care of his elderly parents in war conditions. He said he has not heard from or been in contact with the group for sometime now. Luckily his wife and children are safe in Poland. Prayers for Serge and his parents.

    I hadn't seen anything from or about him for months, but I see he posted on his Facebook page on April 9th. Glad to see he's OK and I hope he continues to be safe. His cover of "Don't Dream It's Over" continues to blow me away.

    He's OK. Just search Serge's name on KZread. He has a ton of videos. Music is his needed distraction. Kiev. His wife and kids are safe in Poland. He stays because of his infirm and elderly parents.

    Last year I witnessed this group in a small north central Indiana town with a sold out venue of 1500 people. It was one of the most memorable concerts of my 74 years!

    Love this song, but watching Oleg "playing" guitar is a treat for sure. And of course the guys all clowning around having fun is also a bonus.

    The spirit with which they play is infectious. If the world could be cured of all that ails it with music... L&F would be the prescription. Love love love watching them, and especially... listening. Great reaction Jeff! Thanks! ❤

    Before the war, Serge was the guy from the band that would livestream before each concert and show the venue, merch table, talk about the tour because in IMO he had the best command of the English language. When they found him they found their Pete Cetera and more! Check out his KZread playlist sometime. He engaged a bunch of us followers at the beginning of the war to join him in singing the chorus to American Pie (he sang the verses while he drove his car around Kyiv - and it's a Chevy!). It was cool being a part of that song - I even played my guitar for it. I wonder when Ukraine wins the war (that is my hope and expectation) that there might be in the future a cameo from Serge on a L&F song. It's a prayer mostly. Love your reaction videos, Jeff!

    Notice, this is one of the few recordings where Serge was actually in studio with the rest of the band. On most others, he recorded at his own studio (blue background).

    They are so SCARY GOOD !!! Those of you who say their JUST a "Cover Band" These good "Cover Bands" have 100's of Million of Views and Subscribers. And Some sound Better than the Original if it's more than twenty years old. Why because All the Equipment is so much better today!! So what if they don't write songs. Did you know Three Dog Night was a "Cover Band" ?

    My favourite Chicago songs ever. By the way thanks Jeff for your wonderful videos. I am a Swede myself and love the fact that you love Diirty Loopa as they are one of my absolute favourite bands. I just wanted you to have a listen to another fellow Swede, his name is Tommy Johansson and especially his rendition of “ You raised me up” I was in pure amazement when I heard it. Again thanks for your very insightful analysis of music artists. Cheers

    We are big fans of Child's Anthem and saw them a couple of months ago near Nashville, TN. We are big fans of their guitar player Scott Bernard. He was the longtime guitarist for Kenny Loggins, who just retired from touring.

    Here's a question for you Jeff. Peter Cetera wasn't necessarily known for his bass playing but Leonid brings these songs to life with his! Do you think Leonid is embellishing the bass parts? He's SO good... it's mind blowing!

  • @StrateleStudios

    @StrateleStudios

    Great question. I think Leonid sticks pretty close to the original baseline but one of the major differences that I can hear is the fidelity is much higher now. Leonids bass sounds better, in general. It’s way more prominent.

    As I was watching the guys in the room as well as the osmotic synchronization of them and the performers the picture of a school playground near my home spang unbidden to mind. Where little children, when I walk by, maybe 6 to 10? At most? Are at recess playing together with the joyful abandon that is usually of, only found in children who are as yet unburdened by cares nor worries. Running hither and yon, chasing each other, catching, falling down, laughing, wrasling, engaged in the joy of being possessed by unbridled joy. And I realized that if I were not, alas, albeit a less than young man of fourth generation American lineage? If I were back then and it was deja vu all over again? I would want to grow up and be, become one of the Leonid's boys; be present and accounted for, playing proudly with and under Leonid's direction and tutledge. Who could ask for a thing more.

    Technically, this is NOT a Chicago song. No Chicago members played on it. Steve Lukather was on guitar, and Jeff Porcaro was on drums--pretty much Toto being the background band. Peter sang lead because he and David Foster wrote what was supposed to go on Peter's solo album that was squatched by the record execs.

    Chicago stopped being Chicago when Terry passed and even more so when foster destroyed them and turned them in a soft ballad pop band with little or no horns. Rarely like or listen to anything after 14
