Happy new year. We love that area and thank you for highlighting a few new spots for us to take the mountain bikes. We have never stayed the night in the car parks so that needs to be a New Years resolution.

I've stayed in the Balbeatie parkup a couple of nights. I found the parking machine a little temperamental - because it's (or was) powered by a small solar panel and when I went to pay there battery was flat. However by later on in the day it had recovered and was fine. But it's a great place, nice walks to exercise the dog etc. If you go and it's full - alternatives would be Caerlaverock and in the ruined Sweetheat Abbey carpark (!!!) in New Abbey.

Hi Patricia, thanks for watching, and yes, we are better 😂 If you mean the app for paying for the parking, it’s the “Ring Go” parking app. If you don’t have it, or can’t get mobile web, there is a tel number on sign you can call instead. Also, you can pay up to 72 hours after you leave👍
