    @@stasisvfx2534 Compared to most other videos from Ivy League students, her ECs are not crazy or inaccessible. Sometimes it’s tiring to hear from people who started their own nonprofit organizations or won crazy awards or had these huge passion projects, because those kinds of ECs are so inaccessible to most people. But her ECs seem normal and realistic for most to achieve. Of course, she had great grades. But these days, most people will tell you that’s not enough to get accepted so it’s comforting to know that she was.

    Congrats on UPenn!! Yay! I think you should at least go for PA (Physician's Assistant), transfer to Duke after your general studies ...My older sister originally was at UCLA for her nursing program , but then decided to switch to PA upon the urging of one of her Professor...She actually got a LOR from that Professor and transferred to Duke last year. Hi Numie! I really enjoyed watching your video! You have very great content! It is very helpful to me! I have a younger sister is studying to be a nurse as well as my bio uncle and my bio grandma. I do not know them very well, but I still talk to them on social distance. I am graduating with my AA degree in Liberal Arts from a 2-year college. I am 25 years old. I have been studying at a 2-year college for 7 years. I graduated from high school in the spring of 2016. I was a top 10% of my graduation class. My cumulative grade point average was a 3.7 out of 4.0 scale. Back in high school, I have joined the Teen Center and Spanish club. Also, I was a member of Boys and Girls club back in my few semesters of middle school. I was half of 7th grade and full of 8th grade there. I did Boys and Girls Club in 9th grade as well! In 10th grade, I was in Spanish club. In 11th grade, I was volunteered as an office assistant at the main office. In college, I worked as administrative assistant with my dad as a shadow job. He is technically my stepdad, but I always call him dad because I grew up with him. My dream career is to be an actor and journalist. After I complete with my AA degree in Liberal Arts, I will train for acting in the studio. Then, I will work on my BA degree in Broadcast Journalism at a 4-year college while I will be doing an internship. My dream career was always to be an actor at a young age, but I did not had the time for it because I had to move from state to state due to my dad’s job in the military service. That is the one technically my stepdad. I see him as my dad because he is the one who raised me as a child. I am writing my own book which is called my life throughout with autism and being a military child. I have worked on it after COVID got hit, which is going to be 3 years in May. Then, I redid it for 2 years, which is going to be in July. Once I get my ceremony posted in my first book, I will get that published sometime in May or June. For right now, I am working on my second book. It is the same content but different chapters. Once I complete with my BA degree in Broadcast Journalism or Communications from a 4-year college, I will be getting my second book published as well! I will get announced both of my books in KZread. Again, you did a great job with your video! You have great content! You have a bright future ahead of you! Wish you are the best of luck with everything you do! You did a great job with your academics and your extracurriculars. Including your internships from high school. My overall grade point average is a 3.1 out of 4.0 scale. I was in the Dean’s List three times in a row. I have joined the math club first. I have joined the Volunteers, Business Club, and Hispanic club. I used to be good with math and science back in high school. For right now, I am good with reading and history since I am going to be an actor and journalist in the future. Acting and journalism are part of who I am. Again, wish you are the best of luck at everything you do! Good luck with college no matter wherever you go. Good luck with nursing program as well! I was born in the city of Buffalo in New York. I lived there in my early childhood until age 5. I have been to school for 22 years. I was diagnosed with autism at age 3. It was before I went to preschool. I grew up with my Spanish speaking family who are from Colombia and Puerto Rico. I speak English and Spanish. My name is Andres, by the way. It is pleasure to meet you! God bless you and your family. 🙏❤️

    Congrats on your achievement! I was wondering if your school offered the full-IB diploma or just a few IB classes? I'm determining whether or not to go the full-IB route or do partial IB with some AP classes (similar to the classes and route that you took.) Do you mind offering some advice in terms of how the experience was for you?

  • @numieee

    @numieee

    Жыл бұрын

    Thank you! My school offers a full-IB diploma program (both IBMYP and IBDP). I am currently finishing the IBDP program for the IB Diploma. I think the full-IB route is challenging with many extra projects and assignments you need to complete. For example, throughout the year, you have to complete Internal Assessments (IA) for each IB Class (HL and SL). These consist of essays, orals, and presentations. You also have the Group 4 Project if you are taking an HL or SL Science Class (IB Physics, Environmental Science, Biology), where you present a solution to a real-world issue. In addition, you have to complete CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) hours, which are basically hours you complete outside of school. Then, at the end of the year, you have your IB exams in addition to any AP exams you are taking. This might sound very intimidating (especially if you are still a freshman, sophomore, or junior). However, personally, I think that the IB classes I took during my freshmen, sophomore, and junior years prepared me well for all those projects. You learn time management, organization, and teamwork which are skills that will aid you in your later years. Overall, I think that the full-IB program is a very valuable experience and I grew a lot as a person. It is very hard and challenging, but I think it is overall, also very rewarding. You gain skills and experience that will stick with you for the rest of your life. Sorry if this was long! I hope this helps you! If you want, I could maybe make a full video about IB and my experience in the program. Let me know if you would want something like that! ♡

    Hello! I'm not an expert for those majoring in business/economics, but if you still want my opinion, I think that for any major, it is good to contribute to and make a positive impact on your community. Whether it's through community service, fundraising, or participating in local events, being active in your community can increase your experience in interacting with others. It can also help you learn and practice your communication and collaboration skills, which is important for any job. I also recommend being active around your school. For example, you could join any business-related clubs, such as FBLA. If not, you could even do your own projects that help demonstrate your interest in the business/economic field. Now, for extracurriculars to do, I recommend doing things that are aimed towards your desired major!
