If you are going for a masters/mba- then your LORs can be from your direct employer. I would not use a stranger/other influential person

But it's a bit pricey, given that 1$ ~ 1,000 Naira. I really don't want to miss this opportunity, seeing that it's a course you'ld be teaching and it's a good way to show Universities that I'm interested in making an impact, genuinely, ( via research - having real world application). Is there anything you could do about it😊? I like to play some soccer with teens in my community in the evening, for about an hour or two :)

as a moroccan student, i think filling out these activities stuff is pretty draining, like it really needs to some type of a virtual trick (of course free or less than 100$), to make this profile, plus morocco had passed through hard times in public high school all teacher protesting against the government, the national exam got shortened, and now private schools are showing huge imbalances, i think getting to one of these IVY league colleges is going to be a real challenge 😥

He said you can take unpopular cources which are somewhat related to your field and after 1 year you can switch to the program you always wanted(for undergrad). Is this ture?

while this is possible, it's not as easy as it sounds! Many top universities have a limited space for their majors. For example, if a student wanted to transfer from a psychology major to CS, the steps to change major will not be straightforward- there could be a restriction where they might need a certain 1st year subject/credit which you had to take. I wouldn't recommend taking such a risk of loosing 1 or 2 years in case this doesn't work out!

Hey, I need an honest opinion, I've always had a dream of studying at MIT, but I'm an international student and here extracurricular activities are not an "obligation" for the student to do. I didn't know that I was going to study abroad with a scholarship, I was going to start preparing in my first year of high school but I contracted an illness and had to undergo treatment, and my last three years in school were done online, I only stayed at home and in the hospital. Now that I've finished my studies, I wanted to take a sabbatical year to dedicate myself and try to pursue an undergraduate degree at MIT. Do I have any chance?❤ P.S.: Other people feel free to respond to me!

-Biggest mistake is only going for activities toward a specific major -Trying to do too many activities -Getting involved in only school activities -Summer programs at a credible university/internships and publishing work -> Academic credibility!!!! -Working in a group

If you are in 8th now, you are too young to join the bootcamp(join that when you finish your 9th or 10th). Instead I will suggest you to focus on building your profile. Try exploring different subjects like computer science, Law, medicine etc. Research as much as you can because you have ample time. Try collecting some certificates(which hold value). You can start writing your essay and make it better and better. Collect info from KZread videos/articles and write it somewhere or else you will forget it. If you will be preparing for jee then you will have very less time in 11th 12th grade, thus do most of your research before entering 11th grade. Take small steps towards your goal and also focus on your academic scores because they do matter. Try scoring 85+ (roughly equivalent to 3.5 gpa. Also if you have free time you can go to Khan academy and start studying for sat. Studying for sat will also help you in your academic studies because the concepts are kinda same. I hope you achieve your goal buddy 🙌
