    A good thing to remember in order to save paint is to color just one pipe then grab a bunch of other pipes with the same hand. They'll be stacked with the colored one and therefore all be colored the same without having to spend paint. You can basically just dedicate a large locker to holding a "master pipe" of each color then, when you need pipes of a designated color, grab the master pipe of that color and use it to recolor all the pipes you want (just remember to put a master pipe back). The same technique works with anything that can be recolored, including wires.

    24:18 Indeed, cooling is cheaper than heating ... because cooling uses a heat pump design (see your fridge) to move heat from A to B. Usually you can move between 2-3 units of heat by using one unit of energy --- but when heating, that one unit of energy only produces one unit of heat. You can run the technology of air conditioning (or fridge) in reverse, so you pump heat from the cold into the warmer area. But, if you have the electricity to spare, a simple high-amp low-ohm resistor will be so much simpler! The adsorption cycle refrigerator cycle, while in general inefficient, can run on a heat source ... so if you have heat but little electricity, there you go.

    Atmospherics in sequential is not relevant anymore. It is better to place in parallel. W.a.w. main "waste"-line, junction off to filtration, unfiltered back to main "waste"-line. In this way no blockage and therefor bursting pipes due to filled filters etc.

    What would you recommend to a new player on how to progress the way you do in these series? I spent ALOT of time troubleshooting the logics for the solar panel automation (apparently I had some math reversed which caused them to constantly dance - I thought it was a bug at first). With that said, I've had to eat all of the cereal bars (which indicates how much more time I had to spend than you to get to the same point) as well as the pumpkin before I logged off last night. I still have to do all of this next set of stuff for the hydrophonics and airlock. I just don't know. I love the intricacies of the game, but damn it isn't easy. I had some major setbacks due to software glitches (I walked into one of the equipment and it registered as a hard impact and I took lots of damage...this happened twice). Love your series though. *PS: How the hell do you make the furnace work so easily? That damn thing gives me fits. It registers as hot and high pressure, but when I throw any ore in, it spits it back out as ore, even when it says it is processing! It is infuriating. So I have to use the Arc Furnace and WAIT AND WAIT. I about rage quit last night a few times.

    @@Rhadamant I did rewatch the #2 vid in this series and realized that you did mention that combustion in the furnace will not occur after some stuff has been smelted due to pollutants. I didn't catch that the first time around. So, I'm wondering if that's what the problem was. Then again, I put in more oxite and volitiles and the pressure/heat indicator was full and yet would still not smelt the iron ore. So, I'm not sure what is going on with it. I did notice that if one starved and respawned (from my first attempt the other day) that you didn't lose any progress and you got more cereal bars to keep going. So, I guess that's not all bad. Just was hoping to get everything done and get the hydrophonics and airlock completed before that happened...lol. Oh well. :)

  • @GraBek77

    @GraBek77

    @@iAmEbolaWoT The reason you getting high pressure is you putting to many ore in the furnace, the menu says you need put just 1% of ice oxite and 2% of volatiles then press button to ignite, check the meter it should show you about 2,96 Mpa and 2,1kK. If you reach that pressure and temp you can melt your stuff for example 3x50% of iron and 1x50% of coal which give you 200g of steel. If you want just melt the ore (iron, gold, silver etc) just put to the furnace and do not mix it, wait until melting then use lever to dump out your ingot. Good luck!

  • @Rhadamant

  • @Rhadamant

    @Rhadamant

    4 жыл бұрын

    They don't really work well that way, if you wanted to heat up a room it would be easier to run very hot gas through a pipe and have radiators installed in the room you want to heat from that hot pipe. That wouldn't even take electricity! Just like an old school water heater/radiators setup.
