We're breaking down the first three mystery filled episodes, including looking at important developing character arcs, theorizing on how the past and present might collide in future episodes, and explaining everything we know so far.

Bravo! HBO MAX finally figured out that sponsoring your videos makes so much more sense than throwing copyright strikes against them. Hopefully more film companies will follow suit. I know I've definitely purchased/watched movies that I would have otherwise passed on due to your amazing breakdowns. Thank you for introducing such quality content to KZread, it is truly appreciated.
Did you just say HBOMAX as a sponsor!????? Can I believe my ears!? I’ve been supporting you for yearssssss and you finally landed a sponsor like HBO!!!!! You made it, my friend. Touché
I really dig the idea of traveling performers in the post apocalypse! That's a super original and interesting idea, and there's a ton of ideas to explore!

Is it something that makes sense reading once youve seen the whole show or does it kind or kill any potential suspense?
@wilsongarrido8707

@@joshuacarrig9370 the show and book tell the same story but the show took some Liberties to add more context and emotion. Both are stories about paths crossing and the little things that can mean so much more. It’s a beautiful story. I recommend the show. But like with your full attention. If you’re half on your phone, it’s not going to be fun. It’s the connection storylines as the story is told And how it’s told that adds a more haunting overtone to an already heavy story
Oh thank heavens you are doing this!!!!! So many callbacks and small extremely important details whiz by in this nail biting show!! Thank you!!!
While I like Disney+(not including the HULU and ESPN+ bundle only the initial Disney+) think HBO Max is better because its main focus isn't just family and nostalgia. It's more varied and diverse. I'll check this out.

"Station Eleven" was the first book I read in pursuit of my English degree (almost 7 years ago) and it is FANTASTIC. Especially since it was written by a local of my home state, Michigan. If anyone hasn't read the book yet, DO IT.

Is this a thriller? Or horror? Drama? What genre is it?
I got HBOmax whenever South Park switched to it, I’ve loved it so much. It has been my favorite streaming service to date, im so glad you landed this sponsor man.
The exact genre you're looking for is _Post-apocalyptic Speculative Fiction._
really don't understand how you don't have sponsors for every video!! also my favorite thing about the first episode is how real the guy is, he is so lost and scared and also trying to save himself and the girl
If you haven't watched Station Eleven and considering it. Watch it! It's one of the best Sci-fi, mystery series I've watched. It's so stunning and beautiful, and the plot plays out so well. Definitely going to read the book!

I’m so glad you’re reviewing this one!
Read this fantastic book in one sitting on a flight from Nashville via Toronto to London, and absolutely loved it. Didn't realise the show was out already! 👀 I'm interested to see how they do it.
i always love these vids and i’m very excited to see a good new show to watch
No but this is the most UNDERRATED channel like ever.
Oh, I didn't realise this book was well-known! I picked it up some years ago in a reduced book sale and thought it was a hidden gem, I loved it sooo much and lent it to anyone who would listen in order to let them read it (in german, the title has NOTHING to do with Station Eleven, so had to go and google whether or not the parallels were there bc someone was unoriginal or bc it was the same book😅)

@@TheRealBatCave Umm I'd say neither? Just dystopian fiction... I only know the book, and read it some years ago, but if you're looking for thriller/horror, I wouldn't necessarily recommend this. The focus is on examining humanity. How we'd fare after collaps and how little we really understand about a lot of our everyday world as well as how society might restructure and redefine itself (common theme for dystopian stories...) But what made me love this book was the poetic writing if that tells you anything 😅 the characters and their philosophies are very interesting though and there IS a lot happening, and it has a well thought-out storyline weaving through past and future. I'd never even think about categorizing this anywhere near the horror genre, though... hope that helped? Sorry for rambling 😶
It's amazing to watch your channel grow! I love HBOmax and live your channel! Hope to see more sponsorships

have seen the first 3 episodes and its just so interesting, with multiple layers and themes and eerily current. Its well worth watching and am definitely getting the book on which this series is based on. So glad HBO have put this out and am so looking forward to the next episodes.
I'll have to give this a watch. Sounds like information we need to know. "Reality is Stranger than fiction". 😂👍 Great "explains" as always. 🎉Happy New year to you and your loved ones and all the best for 2022.🎉 From across the pond, Scotland. 🙏🏴🌺

Yes finally these companies are on to you!! Congrats on the sponsorship!! And I loved this book so I’ll def be watching the show.
so happy you are getting payed for your brilliant content!
Hey Chris, could you make a video on what you’re looking forward to covering or just movies that you personally are looking forward to and keeping an eye on in 2022? As a horror/thriller fan I find it difficult to know what I should look forward to movie wise, as many of the hyped movies always are sub par compared to what we are led to believe about them. Seems to me you have a knack for this stuff.
Great video!!!

This feels like a very Alt Shift X-esque video.. I was waiting for ASX to cover this show but I’m glad that Foundflix did it instead!
Personally I'd love to see a story where an struggling actor or artist is sick of the soul crushing pretention and self importance of the scene and finds true fulfillment in the mundane utility of a real job.
Hello there! ❤ I love your channel and watch it all the time even before watching these movies! I absolutely love your videos and I have a good reccomendation for you, "Il Signor Diavolo", an Italian horror movie with an ending that I have not understood very well. I think you would enjoy the movie and I would love if you could explain it.
Question. I havnt watched it yet. One concern I have are the flashback scenes. They can be done well, but often I find myself getting bored and wishing they'd focus on the present story. Move forward. Are the flashback scenes crucial to the plot? Are they cringe? Can they be skipped?
