I think the shaded part is in quadrant 1,2,3 and 4 the sign of Xc and Yc becomes vary is there no effect on centroid please say some thing
Well done. You have tremendous value to those of us who just need practice (like me!). Just an aside, the X~ and Y~ units are (in.), area is (in.)^2. Ax~ and Ay~ have units of (in.)^3. You've done a wonderful job explaining the process (which is more important than units). Keep it up!
