I think if they go 11-1 this year and win a playoff game (or hopefully 2+) and show they can be elite the high-end recruits will start coming and staying. Especially if the offense looks good under Denbrock then some more elite WR recruits etc will commit and stay committed.
The 4 and 5 star WR are getting the ball from CJ CARR next year… they should be flocking to ND

Of course the issue with those wideouts is they are not all equal, and run the gamut of highly useful to not that useful - and I do not think a lot of the pie in the sky opinions that have been reverberating around the Irish echoe chamber are either accurate or realistic. We might get one, and that at the low/Show-Me end. Not great, and hasn't been.

@@Dimwitland i disagree with "it hasn't been". tobias merriweather, rico flores, braylon james, cam williams. Last two years the WR recruiting has been really good. But keeping them out of the portal is another issue. All 3 of the guys of Meadows, Hines, Robinson could all commit to ND this month and be gone by 2026. It's a crapshoot.

@@wadegarrett2376 Fair enough that it is less than accurate for me to identify it as ONLY a recruiting issue. The end result however is the term I suppose I should have used and is - in fact - what we have here. Eric was, as usual, on the money here. Maybe if we had some stability in the coaching position, it would go a way towards improving the rep of the position in general, and getting the 'bloodlines' into the NFL.

@@Dimwitland that i do agree with. Having a new position coach at WR and OL the last 3 seasons isn't helping anything. we definitely have the QB's committed to make ND an attractive place for WR's, but we need to prove it on the field first.
No one ever brings up Corey Robinson when they talk about. Great notre dame wrs he was elite made big plays vs top teams

Tyler, another great show with another one of your really great guests. Eric Thomas is both insightful and a rational analyst. So you were not as FAR down the Yellow Brick Road as the rest of the Irish Reverb-mosphere, but it shows that caution is the order of the day whenever we are talking about the better wideouts in recent history. ☘☘So...what do we have to do to get a receivers coach who is worth keeping around and will actually STAY around for more than a season? ☘☘ ~ Go Irish!

Not getting Meadows would hurt, but if Notre Dame lands both Hines and Robinson, that would be huge. Hines is so explosive and he is an absolute burner. Robinson has the size and ability to go up and get the football and he looks like he is a physical player. Both would be huge assets to Denbrock’s offense

waht is not said about the state of recruiting in college esp in FB - behind the scenes stuff that goes on for coveted frosh and transfers is not always 'clean' shall we say
Panic? No. but I really thought recruiting would be one thing we wouldn't have to worry about. Is recruiting bad right now? No, but it isn't elite either. Im guessing a 12ish ranked class...IF we dont lose anymore.

SERGIO - I agree with you . According to ATHLON MAG. Mich. off. has '' 1 '' returning off. starter ,their def. has 4 starters back. The bigger issue is they lost a lot of assist. coaches . I see them win. 6-7 games at best.
What worries me is top commit is only a 4 star not even close to elite recruiting

Eh, there’s only 32 5* in each class, so that’s not the best metric. I care more about top 100 recruits.
