I enjoy watching State of Mind. I must mention that I was deceived by an❤😊❤😊 FB impersonated, stating he was you and wanted to be friends on telegram. Anyway, I blocked that person because he started to ask for a donation like a gift card for his cause, like the kids from the European War. etc. I blocked, and it's difficult to be a fan today and trust. But I have been a big fan of GH since 1977, and it has been cast throughout the years..

Wow what Laura said about only being taught to look pretty and she didn’t know what she liked/low self esteem-that was me too. On the outside I seemed strong but inside I wasn’t comfortable. I’m still working on that 30yrs later.

I’ve been watching you since I was a kid. I’m turning 40 in June. my mom and Aunt used to watch you guys every day at 3 o’clock after the other two ABC soaps… they used to tape your episodes, and one of my first words was Sonny! When I got into my older childhood years and found out you were married, I cried for two days! 🤣 now that I’m older I understand who you are as a person and not just sunny. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder plus I was an addict for 10 years. I’m going on 120 days so now I’m working on getting my daughter back thank you for being part of my life and sharing your story, you’re very admired ❤❤

This was a great repeat interview. I went through the same thing with my Mom at the end of her life. With hospice, laying on floor for a week. In. In a coma, then she sat up and said, your dad needs me to help bake cookies. Take me to the kitchen. Then she actually did meet with daddy then,as he had passed 6 years before. I feel for Laura so much. Thanks for this awesome interview. Have a blessed week. ❤️❤️

I just watched for the second time, as a big fan of Laura's (the "heart" of GH, IMO). I'm so so glad she brought up the book, "The Four Agreements". I read it years ago and it's the kind of book that truly makes a difference to the focused reader. Everyone should read it to make the world a better place!

Had I already watched this interview? You bet, several times in fact. But did I watch it again? Absolutely! Hopefully there will be another new interview with Laura down the line but I'm just always happy to watch her,no matter what! She had me in tears again,talking about the loss of her parents...since I lost mine a year apart and I spent the final days with my mom in Hospice Yes,Laura is definitely one of the best, not only in daytime but in the acting world period! She just kills it anytime she's on screen and I when the 2 of you are in scenes together, incredible!

You are so right about the increase in mental illness. I have worked in a dental office which is located in a mall for over 30 years. I have noticed a huge increase in the number of people with mental illness. They don’t seem to have a place to go for support, assistance or a place to live. It is very sad.

Laura i can totally relate to your childhood because mine was similar. Cry and I'll give you something to cry about, spanked with a belt, no discussion only being told, caused low self esteem, and not knowing who I was so I too tried to be what ever someone wanted me to be it all sounds so familiar and I'm 10 yrs older than you. So glad to see how well you've come out of it. I love your attitude now and how your out look on life is.

I never even knew of that 3rd Carly...must have been short-lived and on one of my "breaks" from GH. To me Sarah Brown was, of course, the OG, extremely talented, real, raw, intense. And man, she could cry! Which she did...a lot. Lol. Tamara was always my favorite Carly, and I think because of the way you describe her Maurice...I loved her vulnerability, beauty, she was kind of cool and very different from Sarah. She was tough and soft...I related to her type the most. Plus I just think I remember some iconic moments with her...that really moved me, like when you all thought you lost young Michael. I just loved her and have a soft spot for her. But definitely Laura Wright earned all our respect. To me, she is the most ballsy, confident, takes no prisoners, Carly. She took the bull by the horns and RAN with that role, to OWN it. She definitely, as you said, made it her own and has become iconic Carly. Kudos to all 3 very talented actresses, (sorry about the one I never knew so I'm omitting her here), who have given life to Carly.

Man, when she was talking about what was expected of her through her life growing up it reminded me of my own life and I understand how she felt. Carly (Laura Wright) really helped me to see that when you go through bad stuff how you can change and accept the reality of the situation positively. I like the “jar at the end of the day” and putting in what you are thankful for. Also how well she took the deaths of both parents. Both are mine are gone. I love this Carly the best. I was there for all of them ❤

WOW MB!!!!! Thank you so much for this interview with LW. It brought so much closure and light to my life. I know GH is just a fictional show, but speaks to me, and was pure therapy for me and I'm sure many of the viewers. It brought back all the love and admiration for You/Sonny. I've been so angry with your actions and took it very personal. I saw the video of you dissing Laura, stating you didn't want to work with her anymore, and how the fans were turning against you for it. Films are so important, especially today, possibly more than they should be for many of us. The thing I loved more about your character other than being a Beautiful man, sooooo easy on the eyes, a Mob Boss, but most of all I loved your "FAMILY FIRST motto: The most attractive quality about you. Seeing your character betray his family, became to REAL for me. Reality and Real life became blurred. It affected my mental being. (Yours actually affected me), it shouldn't, but did. Carly and your family really love you, and to see you turn your back on, betray, and hurt them so bad, was so damaging to many of the fans mental health. (It's really is not your job to worry about everyone's mental well being), but it was a painful time for fans too. This State of Mind show, help me to separate Soap from reality more clearly. I can see that even though you made those comments, which you have the right to feel how you do, didn't mean you really disliked Carly/Laura. You played your character too well. I apologize for all the negative comments I've written about you, I hope you can SINCERELY forgive me. You two were such a beautiful real couple and family. Thanks again to this State of Mind interview, you really are the beautiful imperfect man I've love for not as many years as many, but for years. I SUBSCRIBED to your channel and hope to work out some of my mental health issues. Thanks MB/LW for being so open and real. I love you both and hopefully these types of interviews will help everyone dealing with their mental health. Everyone at some point in life if not now, will meet face to face with mental health in some way some day. Love you, GH and cast. You're doing a GOOD thing here!!!!!!!

I really like Laura Wright as Carly, I think she is the best one of All of them!! Her life story and her way of thinking and dealing with life reminds me of myself after hearing her stories about herself, so now Iam even a bigger fan!! Great actress!!

Thank you for reposting this. I often come back to this episode where she spoke about how she had a Coming of Age story back in 2017, when she was 46 years old. It parallels my own story of having experienced this beginning back in 2023 at 38 years old. And I've had some of the same struggles that you've spoken about with mental health. So when you spoke out about it, it was so powerful. Besides you Mr. Maurice being a legend in the Daytime Entertainment industry. And I love each of the actresses who have portrayed Carly Spencer. Sarah Joy Brown, Tamara Braun, Jennifer Bransford, and Laura Wright. ALL are special. And have added layers to the character of Carly. Which makes her a WHOLE person. Finally, whenever I'm acting, I always use You, Mr. Steve Burton, Ms. Tamara Braun, and Ms. Laura Wright as my muses into my acting craft. Keep up the great work 'Sonny.'

All three Carly’s were excellent! Jenny just didn’t work for me. But I absolutely love Laura!

My mom has had emphysema for 24 1/2 years. She had Lung disease at kept smoking. She almost died. Now 3 strokes & lives with me. I took care of my dad on hospice. 😢

Yes the abuse and it being allowed. It was like that when I we t to school too. My stepmom said you beat their ass or you're getting a beating when you get hope. Be scared of a whipping mote than the fight. I got paddled once by my gym teacher. He came in and asked some of the people if they were on the equipment too cuz he caught some on it while he had to walk out of the gym for a few minutes and I stupidly said yes I was and I got paddled for it

Sarah Brown, the best Carly, great actress. Tamara, a great actress. I never saw Laura Wright as Carly, she is a great actress, but this isn't the right part for her, it doesn't bring out her talent. GH, never liked the gangster storyline with Sonny, Jason, Carly, Alexis, etc. Jason had the worst, non believable, supporting role as Jason that never showed his talent. Sonny, the character is over, retire it. Alexis, the character is over, retire it. Carly, the character is over, retire it. Jason, the character is as brain dead as the writing, should never have happened.

Sarah Brown was the best. Tamra Braun was good. Jenny Bradford was ok. Laura ? Well, she's such a good actress, I hate Carly. LOL - Love Ava, but not for Sonny. Get rid of Natalia, not a good fit for the show. I like Sonny best with Cynthia Waltrose as Nina.
