Maris B You address the kings & queens/emperors and empresses as “Your majesty/majesties”. Not “Your highness”. That is only reserved for Princesses and Princes. You must not get the two mixed up.

@@lucasdeabrielle7375 I was talking about addressing Queen Elizabeth II. You shall address Her Royal Majesty, The Queen Elizabeth II. When it comes to addressing the monarchy of Japan, you must address them as "Imperial Majesty". But of course, you wouldn't know a damn thing about that, since your country (France), overthrew and executed your own monarchy, now would you?

Third *not only the imperial Japanese monarchy has the title of their imperial majesty/highness and etc.* Fourth I know how to address them since I told you about it earlier than you did. And lastly your comment is inaccurate and misleading so better reform it.

Spy Ware I agree. They could’ve had a camera man standing by the entrance or have the camera lens zoomed in. You couldn’t even see the guests coming in! Hay, ang mga pinoy talaga…di talaga marunong mag man sa mga camera. Smh!

the emperor is speaking and aquino was like not listening intently. i think he was looking for the translation but you need to have the courtesy of not making it obvious that you do not have the translation! what an actual embarrassment!

+Think Positive ++ It's not a practice in state dinners/luncheons in the Philippines to have national anthems played after the toasts. His Majesty might have not been informed about that. As we know, state banquets in Japan have the national anthems played after toasts.

+Think Positive ++ I know. I've seen videos of state banquets in other countries. Some play the national anthems before the start of the banquet (in the case of Brunei and the Republic of Korea for example), while there are some (including the United Kingdom and Japan) where they play the national anthems after the toasts. Well, hindi ko na lang po alam kung anong nangyari sa atin... HAHA

So, walang "First Lady" na tatayo para maging counterpart ng Empress or ng sinumang visiting Presidential or Prime Ministerial Spouse, kaya tumayo na FL si Pinky Aquino-Abellada, na pangalawa sa 5 magkakapatid na Aquino. Walang iniwan yan sa panahon ni Dating Pangulong Elpidio R. Quirino, na ang tumayong First Lady habang sya ang Pangulo ay si Ms. Victoria "Vicky" S. Quirino-Delgado
