Bases are safe when left alone. If you don't have any characters there it doesn't atay loaded in and doesn't get attacked by patrols/raiders/etc. That only ever happens when you have characters in the area to have the base be 'active'.

All I think when I heard about the Oni brothers is the Johnny Cash song "Oney."

The bigger of the two dogs is a white wolf. Oh, and good news I also found a patch mod for that style of pack that should let it work on Bone Mutts, one sec while I go look it up... ok it is called Tame Beasties and More Dogs made compatible. It slips in the most useful bloody part, the fix for the Dog Backpack mod to be able to work on all the added breeds from More Dogs like an afterthought. But will also let you use tame beasties on all the new added breeds, which is especially handy if you want to tame a wild alpha version, which are all bigger and tougher than any of the domestic ones you buy should be able to grow into, though I have never compared a raised elder and a wild alpha to see how they measure up.

Hope there won't be a need for anymore coffins, but Kenshi is brutal.

Aww, that would have been amazing if Beaky's "statue" would have stayed. One of the gangs that you beat up must've stolen it while you weren't looking.

Tried that coffin mod myself, was bummed things despawned too. I am loving how things have been going. Nice escape from Bast. The mercs lasted just long enough indeed. So cool to hear you are using the luxury weapon mod and aiming on the Oni Brothers. Remember that suggestion way back about marrying the Shek Princess? Let's just say you may well want a few Shek patrols allied, joining you on that fight. I have seen the brothers cut down a few dozen mercs with minimal damage. Really be sure to carry weapons with armor penetration. A skeleton crafted spiked club from the scrap house for every unit at the bare minimum. Or martial artists. Never underestimate the power of even moderate MA skills against heavy armor.

I know, was gutted 😔 especially since there was no warning. Honestly I tried to reload to stop it happening, but doing so caused the Bastards to all respawn inside the Bastion…so wasn’t possible unfortunately
