Good coaching. As I am in the Netherlands (born here) and there is no Starting Strength around, I use these videos to teach myself. Thank you for the videos. I know in Brussels (Belgium) there is a couch, the tall one. Still very far away. Best wishes.

I went to train with Steve (the tall one) at Brussels Barbell a few times. Great guy and excellent coach. Bit of a drive but I'm happy I went.

Great video. Thank you! Especially good for the set up. These long-limbed, tall guys are easy to pick on. Would love to see coaching the end of the lift, as well. Theres some hip extension/hyper extension of the back happening that could hurt on heavier lifts or unloading and reset. I'm a short dude, so I often can't see my errors as well in real time.

Great video Grant. Slowing down Matt was a good adjustment.

The hook grip will lock in better as the weight goes up. At least it did for me. And don’t forget to chalk that whole thumb. Both sides

I prefer to take my shoes off and just wear socks when deadlifting at home. The goal is as flat and close to the floor with the least cushioning so it is hard to beat simply wearing no shoes. In a public gym, I will wear Chuck Taylors. Been doing this for heavy deads for 20+ years. Some will say that traction is important but if you lift conventional and on a stall mat, traction will not be an issue no matter what you wear. If you lift on a wood surface that may be different. And if you lift sumo....well, that is not even a deadlift.

Depends on the rules of the gym/facility you are deadlifting in. Barefoot deadlifting would be better than in Socks, but it also depends on the type of floor the plates are resting on too.
