Yup. I have the x18xe1 Astra G, and it's like new.I mainly change the oil(Amsoil) and put high quality filter,and other fluids like coolant and braje fluid I replace every few years. The engine is at 300,000kms currently, and I think it will serve me atleast 5 more years, because now I work in Germany and here I use my mom's car, and I get home twice a year. But no matter what people say, I am putting great care to it, it is my first car and I just appreciate what I have and want to repair it. It gives me pleasure. I mean look at the current events, new and used cars are getting ridiculously expensive, so I let my friend joke about my 23 year old Astra, while their Mercedes, Audis etc are using 10l per 100kms and are super complex to fix😂

@@vinkoivanusevic1425 the Z18XER it's also a good engine, timing belt is much stronger and simpler to change, water pump is driven by the auxiliary belt, so no need to change it with the timing kit. But it needs always fresh and good oil, otherwise the VVT system (solenoids and pulleys) can go bad, producing knocking noises, and it's expensive to repair. Some failure of the oil cooler can mix oil and coolant, but it's not a big problem. Unlike the Z18XE, it has mechanical tappets with calibrated shims, instead of hydraulic ones, that requires checking and adjustments every 10 years or 150.000 kms. So, it's not suitable for LPG or CNG, otherwise you will have to adjust the valve clearance multiple times until eventually valves and seats will burn up.

The Isuzu engine is also very good and used for marine applications, but has no interchangeable parts with the GM family. IMHO GM should have streched the 20/22 to an inline six as well and used it in the bigger bodies, (Omega etc.) instead the outsourced BMW lump.

@teppouotinen9136
2 жыл бұрын
@@zeljkojelic4834 Yes it's 2.0Di (82hp, No IC as standard). I used 2.2 injectors and turbo. First a GT18V vnt-turbo from a 125hp 2.2, then 115hp Saab 2.2TiD "normal" wastegate turbo. VNT spools up on lower rpm, but with the wastegate unit You can set the Max boost higher. (An Old ECU without PID for VNT doesn't handle the boost spikes so well). It's easiest to take the whole injector assemblies from an old 2.2 engine. Do _NOT_ damage the thread on top of the injector body, it's necessary for opening pressure test apparatus, when replacing the injector nozzles. It's also important to replace the exhaust pipe. At least 2.0Di has choke point before rear silencer joint - waaay too small. Even the 80 - 100km/h highway fuel consumption will improve in addition to max. power and turbo spoolup. I use 2,5" pipe. 2.2 vnt+injectors = 130hp on standard software and exhaust. The 2.2 injector nozzles will max out at 160hp with custom software. 147 degree DSLA nozzles are really difficult to find, std. from 2.2 are with 0.205mm orifices and I've never seen bigger ones. It's so easy for the 1.9Tdi crowd - not so much for Us GM folks :)

His teachings and philosophy continue to inspire millions, and his Jayanti is observed with reverence and enthusiasm across the country. Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati, originally named Mool Shankar, was born in a devout Hindu family. His early life was marked by a profound curiosity about spiritual matters, and he demonstrated a keen intellect from a young age. His spiritual journey took a significant turn after a series of personal experiences, including a near-death incident at the age of 14. This transformative event fueled his determination to seek the truth and led him to embark on a journey of self-discovery.😊😊

@@GR-kn7mt on some shafts the cams are not enough hardened so they wear-out too much and the valves couldn't full open. the hydraulic lifters then operates at their limit. result is that ticking what you can hear in the vid. the first generation of the OHC-Engine (1.3N / 1.3S) in the Ascona-B and Kadett-D had the same issue back in 1979.

@teppouotinen9136
