Starting Firefighting Training with EoE!! Eosinophilic Esophagitis | My Story Part 3 |
Hey Everyone, here is part 3 of my series with my story involving EoE. This one begins with my journey from when I first started Firefighting. I also share a funny story her with what I like to call "The Yeti Explosion" where right before I was off to leave for Fire training, my Yeti container explodes soup all over my uniform, study materials, and living room.
What I forgot to mention is that I had to leave the mess there all day because I had no time to clean it up. When I came back from that day of training is smelled SO BAD!

Thanks for posting your 3 part video on EoE. I had a meat impaction. (lower esophagus near stomach) 3 years ago. I went to ER and it took 4 hours to clear the piece of chicken. Recently I had 2 meat impactions (steak and turkey) over Thanksgiving break. Getting my 1st scope done on the 21st. Your videos were really transparent, authentic and helpful. Thank you bud.

No problem at all :) yeah it’s insane how long it takes sometimes. The scopes are an amazing way to find out the cause. I’ve been off dairy for a while now and absolutely zero problems. Good luck man!
Thank you for posting these, some of my story is similar to yours in that I constantly struggled with things getting stuck and finally had a food impaction that needed to be removed at the ER. After that I was put on a soft diet, which I in turn ate a lot of dairy products for protein (I’m a nursing mother). I think that exasperated my EOE, which I did not know I had yet. After three dilations, I am back on a regular diet but was told to go on a elimination diet. Currently navigating the elimination diet, on a high dose of PPI, and need one more dilation. Did your doctors even recommend dilation or was it a personal choice not to?

Thanks for sharing! Honestly it was both a personal choice and also not recommended by my doctor yet. By just going on the elimination diet and then eliminating dairy I was able to get things back to pretty much normal. (Also on PPIs) I didn’t want the dilation because of the damage it could cause so I did everything I could not to do it. Hope you figure it out! Check out my wife’s channel @chelsea Celeste nutrition. She is creating a guide to help people though it which brought me back to normal because of it. Good luck!
What did you put in the smoothies? I may be getting a diagnosis of EOE. I’ve done carnivore diet but struggle to get calories in.

I made a lot of different smoothies. My wife did a video on the smoothies on her Chanel @chelsea Celeste nutrition Her video shows a lot of what I did. I’ll try to make another video on this channel to walk through my smoothies too. Good luck!
Thank you for the post it's been 5 months I have struggled to eat and had good impacted multiple times got endoscopes and had barium swallow test as well but every thing was normal but I am thinking of it as EOE . And the main thing is I am loosing my weight . So if you could suggest me some smoothies that could make me gain weight and is healthy for me I would be much more happy

I posted a video recently! Here's the guide I followed too: www.chelcceleste.com/webinar-registration Hope this helps!
Despite a few months of trying the med approach, I'm still essentially on a liquid diet. I think you mentioned that your wife is a dietitian and helped you immensely with liquefiable recipes that helped maintain your nutrition level. Can you recommend any such recipes? Thanks
