This is the moment we have been waiting and planning for, for years! In just two short days last week, our homestead kicked off in earnest when we brought home our new Livestock Guardian Dog (TukTuk the Great Pyrenees) and eight Silver Wyandotte Chicks!
TukTuk comes to us from The Crooks Family Farm! Samantha was wonderful to work with and genuinely cares about the puppies and other animals she raises. It is clear in the first week that TukTuk comes from strong stock, with plenty of pre-LGD training with his Mom and Dad as a bonus!
The Silver Wyandottes come to our homestead from a local place in town here called Alaska Feed Co. We have bought tons of pet food, equipment, and supplies from them over the years and they have been extremely good to us, especially with these chicks.
