Oh boy, let's not even talk about the reliability issues on those big cats either. Overburden transmission, bursting oil or fuel lines, overheating engines, and high fuel consumption would be incredibly problematic. On the other hand, I'm very sure the Sensha-do Federation would take that in mind with all tanks and integrate modern materials or machinery in them to minimise those problems. If not, I can imagine lots of frustration and anxiety among the tank crews and mechanics. It's bad enough you're getting shot, but a mechanical failure is even worse.

I now see why Stalin was to adamant about having a gas canister in every tank, I did not realise it was to start the engine I always thought it was a hidden bomb if you initiated reverse gear.

Christ I know that the German army running out of fuel is a meme but they really did everything they could to make the problem worse.
