Tbh best way to start arknights on ANY time period is to enjoy the game with the operators you have and look at any news for future strong operators and banners to immediately promote your team strength

This event is definitely not the easiest for beginners, but I suggest to continue grinding for the rewards (specially the free 6*) as much as your team allows. Also, this event will definitely come back in a ~year

@@unclamer3068 from my experience it take 1month to build team just enough to beat normal stage not the ex stage so take your time the event will be rerun again

It takes at least a month to set up a team for grinding. Just keep going

my thoughts based on my little experience (I started playing with gavi banner) as a newbie, I have to say that actually your first characters are probably the most important part when you start your account (in a gacha games in general). the characters you get will go a long way with you and in order for you to enjoy the game it's very important that you like these characters and don't force yourself to upgrade someone you're not interested in. (for example, I don't care about kroos and don't regret it (yet)) If you save golden oranges, these few weeks will be a period when you won't be able to get something of the gacha due to lack of gacha currency. (yes, you need to close your first annihilation as soon as possible. you also need to aim for the first 3 annihilations to get all gold cards for the shop, so you will have the resource to buy any 6* shop operator. (I got mudrock this way). and advice for f2p players. start your account with a temporary banner. reroll and get a 6* character for the first 10 free tickets and get the second character from the newbie banner. also, while this banner is valid, you will have 1 free ticket every day. I know stars don't matter in a game like this, many 3* and 4*s are cuties who do a great job. but have more 6* is always nicer. it is very important to create comfortable conditions for yourself for the initial game, so that you enjoy the gameplay.

Okay so there are quite a LOT of issues with this comment. I will adress them below, and please read at your own pace while minding that this is my opinion only. Your first characters actually dont matter that much, unless it is a Ling, T-Alter or sb who can carry you through the entire early with with relative ease by themselves ofc. HOWEVER I disagree, as when I first started Arknights a mere SA was enough. Please build up the 3 stars as late game basically REQUIRES you to do so anyways. Kroos, Spot and Midnight are MANDATORY units and I really mean it in IS 3 or similarly challenging modes. 4 stars you can skip I guess? Except Perfumer and Myrtle I dont believe you need any 4 stars built, but whatever if you like just build. 5 stars and above are where it is at but please read up the guides and reviews before building any of them, unless you really like their design or sth. Other than that, I completely agree with what the guy stated, just play at your own pace and try to enjoy it as much as possible, just dont be obsessed by 6 stars like he did.

@@gaoaibai6243 It's good to have different opinions I talked about what's important to me in order to love the game is to get characters that I like. (appearance / their gameplay features, for example). so it will be interesting for me to study the game with them. your first characters are what you see for a long time before you gradually add new cuties to your collection. this is the important part because some people just want to have fun. (that's why waifu is important) i think that everyone enjoys the game in different ways depending on what they are interested in this game, so there is nothing wrong with playing the way you want. This game is about slow progression so I think some people get bored because of this. but with the thought of how good your wife will be in the future with C3M3, this makes you not give up. I borrowed Kroos from my friends when needed) I didn't say low rarity characters were bad. I talked about the fact that you should not forget about the characters that you like (no matter the rarity), because at first many people say to increase the level of 3 * and 4 *. (Gummy is also a good 4*).

This is a great and concise beginner video for new Arknights players! There are a few points that aren’t fully explained, but the additional information isn’t necessary for new players who are probably overwhelmed with information already. Nice work!

Recruitment is a staple for gold cert income. I've been playing for over 2 years now and got my FIRST: Nightingale, Hoshiguma, Aak, Shining and more from it, it's quite nice even if TO tags are uber rare.

Skins arent a must though unless people want them. As you say, pro enhancement packs are the best use. After that, all is fair game. Whether you want skins, sanity (refrain from doing until higher account level), or pulls, it depends purely on what you want. But never furniture. My best advice to newbies is to reroll for the limited unit on a limited banner if one is active. Limiteds are INCREDIBLY rare, and newbies already missed many, it's well worth grabbing one from the get go while it's available. That and, use your base! It's in beta, but the rewards are alpha.

As a veteran f2p i have to say this is a very well done video. I do think you can get outfits since originite is so plentiful from past events, but admittedly they shouldn't be a that important to get as long as you dont mind waiting about half a year or a whole year for their rerun. Unless you try to get every new operator in the game, you should pretty easily get about half the operators due to hoe many free 5 stars you get, all the exchange tickets, and all the other free stuff you get around anniversary and chinese new year.

Tip in my opinion you should max out your sanity like in the video cuz while playing you can regenerate sanity so for me it feels like I save more and get more sanity I don’t use the sanity items unless it’s about to expire

To be honest, this was a big help for a player like me who is new in the game. I hope you keep continue making this videos.

I didnt exactly start over because im using an old reroll acc... But i thought it would be a great niche to doa 1 6 star core operator only run (irene) the account is lvl 13 rn and has 1 day old of progress (it has sail, irene and sa)

Starting the game around august and currently making hyper progression (althought there is 2 week worth of hiatus from me) about to mass E2 upgrade my roster the end of this year at least (around 20+operator) including six-five star op, but mostly 4 star with long term utility, and i think i'm about to finnish my first anniv event and get all the medal and also posible the event for stultivera rerun event Currently doing long term 300 pull saving for future viviana and virtuosa (i did subcription but only the one that give me 200 orundum daily and sanity booster, and december probably my last attempt until my annilihiation limit increase bit more for orundum)

I seriously appreciate the timing of this kind of video, and just overall this *video* specifically; even though I'm level 40+ I still feel at a complete loss at what I'm doing. Despite looking into so many guides, I still wish to know more considering that I've always wanted to put time into this game, however I couldn't do so, mainly just cause...it didn't really hit for me like that until now, when I got Texas Alter. I'm not saying that getting one of the most craziest units in the game is what brought me back (and hopefully permanently), but its more or so just actually wanting to give effort, time, and love into the game. The aesthetic of it all is seriously pleasing to me, so I wish to stick to it. TL;DR though, I'd absolutely love to see more of these kind of videos. It really does help a lot, even if you're not giving much tips. :)

Honestly IS is so vast that a guide is hard to make. I would recommend you to just go play IS and trust me, you will become an expert by the 10th run

Lunacub is good in some scenarios, with her camouflage ability. But in general gameplay, i would not invest in her. But ultimately depends on your account progression and what snipers you have built tho

Good video tbh, but i must say - splash casters suck, apart from the 6 stars, theyre brought down by how weak the archetype is. Also, Silence is a godly medic for newbies. Was an extremely strong carry for me early on, only ever got her to e1 max too.

For the 5 star I chose Texas because I didn’t know that you would get her for free ;-;

setting it to 9 hours over 7:40. not a loss in rarity. Now you've made a claim here. I was under the impression that the chance of a 5 star is higher, like 2% vs .5% with 9 hours over 7:40 hours. would like some data to back up your claim. i also would never go tagless. I do something like guard 9 hours, i get specter (eventually) I've done medic for like 6 months and gotten warfarin and ptilopsis. I got hung recently from a defender tag and was like, oh, he's in recruitment. I know someone gave you the advice for 7:40 and you are repeating it. I just think you are giving up 1.5% chance of a 5 star per recruitment. for a paltry LMD savings. But I'm pulling these numbers out of the air after playing the game for 3 years with no data or charts to back them up. go ahead and do 7:40 for 1000 recruits and if you get 20 5 stars I'll accept 7:40 tagless is better than 9:00 with a class tag. if you only get 5, then you missed out on 15 5 stars from this method for saving 200K LMD. 13K LMD per 5 star. but if you got some data to back up that claim, by all means present it.
