One of the all time best looking cars imo.

Back in the 70's I had a 65 Impala SS, came with a 283 and a 4 speed Muncie. I bored out a 327 and put 2.02 heads on it with a big Mellings cam. Tore up a 4 speed Duster one night !

My grandpa bought a 65 impala ss with a 396 in it. I hope to start restoring it next year. I wish to have it restored before he passes away but its gonna take time. The sound of this one kicking on made me think of his.

I own a 65 impala had it for 46 years.sat for 22 years in garage I fully restored it 3years ago.

Quick tip on the sbc engine is instead of adjusting the oil shaft drive just set the timing and rotate the engine by hand and it will set right down in place and still keep your timing on point!! So much easier!!

Gotta love people that fix stuff and troubleshoot on the fly ,keep up the great work, currently workn on a original 1962 SS hardtop impala factory red on red 👍

This dad & son have nice bond. I wish I live close to them so I can get my 1986 Chevy van g20 fix by them. Impressive skills though!

spent many late evenings with my uncle, dad getting our 65 Impala 283 running back in the 70's. Timing, rotors, distributer, 2bl carb, spark plug / wires. Dad bought it new, and we sold it to my HS acquaintance when I was in college, which he later totaled :'(. Car I learned to drive in.

I got a 66 impala that im currently working on

This is pretty cool stumbled on this channel like it I've got 65 Impala Super Sport that I've had since 04 had a 65 super sport before that and before that I had a 66 Caprice before that I had a 66 Impala and on and on I've always had Chevy's I like these because I just know a pretty simple and basic card work on and I've always liked the way they are styled I need to redo the interior mind I was thinking about changing to a different color

definitely gives me hopes of firing off my 69 caprice i pulled out of a field…!!!

Never use starting fluid to prime use gas. I seen to many flash fires with that stuff. Also if you want to put oil pressure threw engine save work remove coil wire and crank it over till oil light goes out .

that impala should be on the road in no time, also you should put a rag over the licence plates so you don't spend a long time editing

a couple of kids come along - cars sit in a garage ... a couple of pets come along - cars sit in a garage ... a couple of wives come along - they suck up ALL the money to fix the car in the garage !! ... 20 years go by - i forgot there was a car in the garage !!

Why not check the condition of the points when the distributor was extracted & in your hands?....no brainer!

hola lindo video tengo un Impala ss v8 283 la compre en el año 2000 estuvo tirada al intemperie 10 años . la tengo en reparación mucho trabajo acá en Argentina no se consiguen y no hay repuestos y con la economía que tenemos es muy difícil. en mi canal de KZread tengo videos saludos

I had a bad expierience spraying brake cleaner in to a engine running or not . after spraying it to keep it running the engine locked up dry d out too end 😂 now I only use 2 cycle 50.1 mix 😊
