So I started his locs 5 weeks ago and this is his first Retwist! It was long enough for a style so that’s what we did to make the Retwist last longer. See y’all in my next video!

Just got that style 2 days ago and got lined up yesterday and i be looking like a king
I like to call these the "Gunna" braids. Lol I never knew they were called barrel twists. I've been fascinated ever since I've started my loc journey. I had 1st retwist yesterday also.

how long should you wait for a wash and retwist?

I’d say like 3-6 weeks for a Retwist but you should wash your hair at least every 2 weeks.. even if it’s in a loc style at least do a light wash

if yu want locs do u keep in barrels for like 3months then take out retwist do again and then itll have dreaded

Also what does combing the hair do before you retwist ? I can tell it looks more neat from root to end but wouldn’t that essentially be combing out the end part of the loc that’s started to bud?
