I'm not a console player, but I used Swan's starters a lot! when I was beginning. If nothing else, I enjoyed breaking the starter down to see how they are constructed, so I can make my own.

Great idea! Using blueprints to figure out how someone else has built something really helps. Console players are getting vastly improved starter habitats since I'm implementing everything I've learnt in how to build them over the last 4 years!

I'm looking forward to be able to do this. I play on console with my controller, but I've also played with my mouse and keyboard hooked up. I'm a horrible builder, but I love just attempting to try my own or pulling builds apart in sandbox mode to see if I can recreate it.

Hey Plastic Swans! I use your Starter set on PC and I love it! I do have a minor issue with any of the habitats with water, it's *very* difficult to work with but thanks to one of your fix videos, I was able to fix this.

I would like to say 3 things. You forgot to add the tasmanian devil to your every animal franchise zoo. You will also have put all the Eurasia pack animals in the zoo too. Finally when is the every animal franchise zoo gonna appear in the workshop because we've been waiting for months?

Please try to keep comments relevant to the video as it might get confusing for people viewing this for console. In terms of Every Animal Zoo, I haven't got to the Tasmanian devil yet, there's still about 10 animals to go. Yep, the Eurasia animals will be coming too. It won't be on the workshop until it's complete, so another couple months probably

For this one, yes I have the gate elevated at the back. You could place it at ground level, but the front will have a huge drop for that

I have tons of locked blueprints now that I was able to use at console launch. Its strange too because one of them is just a basic rock cave lol. I just dislike having to build caves for career mode lol.

Yes, this was an oversight on the console version that they fixed in the last update. Blueprints containing items that need to be researched by the mechanic or vet will show up locked. Now that it's working as intended, I need to go back and check all of my starter habitats to make sure they're working as intended!

Please make blueprints of all these hard shelters, I’m sick of my caves😂

You can download from the Frontier Workshop, which you can get to from the game main screen

these look great,one thing that annoys me when building habitats of my own, is that knowere in the zoopedia (at least as far as i can tell) does it telll you the exact terrain, plant and temperature requirements for each animal. This annoys me, cus i like to plan ahead and get the enclosure completly finished before the animal goes in.

Yeah, I think the temperature issue is an oversight. We get temperature information in the zoopedia on the PC version. For plants etc. unfortunately it's guesswork until you put the animal in!

How do I access the workshop to get these awesome habitats?

Love the video..but im confused about 1 thing.. I just got the game and was playing around with it. I disabled the collisions ao i can put rocks together) and put stuff in the ground but it atill wont let me.. Am i missong something?? Also it wont even let me. Hange terrain. Its greyed out

The button for stopping it aligning with surface is a bit broken at times. I have to hit it a number of times before it works properly

I have added all of your habitats for console. There are quite a few that show up locked when trying to drop them in for some reason. Help?

I think it's the barrier type that's keeping some locked. The bengal tiger habitat has a glass barrier which I can't change because of where the water sits in the habitat (mistake on my part) and a few I've used concrete barrier, which does need research to use. I'm going to go back and change this so that they're useable right away

Are these on ps5 or Xbox? No one seems to release the workshops between ps5 and Xbox are separate and not shared

Yep, in the main game screen, in the bottom right corner there's a tab for 'Frontier Workshop'. You can download blueprints from here.

What do I search in the workshop to find your items?

I don't think there's a way to search from the Frontier Workshop unfortunately. You need to find one of the habitats under the habitats tag, and you can select my name from within there and it'll take you to my profile which has the full collection in there

Do you know how to give the animals custom names on Xbox edition?

You can rename animals by selecting the name, that's R3 button for PS5 but not sure what that is on Xbox. You cannot however rename animals in franchise mode. I think it's to do with the profanity filters, they've decided to just prevent us renaming them in that mode.

Oh dear! Which habitat did you use? I haven't got to building a giraffe habitat yet, so whichever one it is, they have long legs so might've just stepped right over the fence 😂

PS5. None of my zoos are lagging too much yet, but using the camera for footage I did notice some frame drops. I am constantly disconnecting in the franchise mode and have had a few crashes too

I'm working on a fix. It's because I've used the concrete barrier, so will be locked until the barrier is researched. Poor decision on my part, I can create the barrier out of concrete scenery pieces

Hello I hope you can help. I’m a first time user on the console and I’m having the hardest time. I’m in sandbox mode to get the hang of things. But everytime I try to put any blue print down I get terrain modification failed… I figured out how to use advanced to lower it but once I get it placed. I can’t add paths as it says the same thing terrain modification failed.
