This is true. You can get caught up in researching but you will learn best and make progress by actually just doing the thing. I was supposed to start my blog first and then my KZread channel, because KZread was way more scary to me. But I am so glad I pushed myself simply by asking myself if not now with all this free time in 2020 pandemic then when? It’s just fear and guess what - everyone is afraid. Plus the chances of millions of ppl seeing your lackluster first few posts or videos are slim to none.

way to go getting started

Started our blog 2 months ago. Already published 100 articles and 100 more in the queue to publish by the end of this month. No traffic yet, but very optimistic about it. Thanks, Miles for inspiration :)

WOW..Thankyou Miles. Your video`s are just what I need to stop ruminating. I am 86 and retired for 20 years but I have never stopped learning. However the past two years I have been trying to understand website building. Researching, studying, analyzing. I was afraid to step into developing a basic WordPress site. Dragging my feet on how things come together and wasting time. Afraid of making a mistake. Today is different. I have all the ideas I need right now. Better ideas will come through doing. Regards

Thanks Miles so far month 1 on the blog and I have one post (my first one I wrote) that hit the first page of google today. Had around 700 impressions and 10 clicks from search in the first month with 20 total post.

Hey Miles, I wanted to say thank you for all the motivation. I started my website two months ago following your videos. What you said today is absolutely true! I learned a lot of stuffs only because I started the website. Before starting, I researched for more than three months on how to do each and every step, but after starting I'm not at all following majority of the steps I've planned. Because things won't work always according to your plan. You'll start experimenting different things and few things will work and few backfires! But you LEARN a lot more than months of "research". So guys, START NOW!

Oh yes, bogged down researching, it’s easy to do too much. In my case it’s been researching the subject matter in depth, reading books but I’m now pushing myself hard to go fir the 90 day challenge! Otherwise it will never happen;) and thanks for your great motivation, Miles!

That was some good insight into our current global situation (with regards to making money online). I've spent the last few weeks getting my website up and running and getting my head around web design. Yes! I just started a Wannabe Preppers website because I think with the craziness of 2020 means we should have our homes more prepared in case of recession or another food shortage like in April. I am such a perfectionist that I don't like sharing my website. I want the images to be better, more content, need to learn SEO, etc, but at least I have started! And honestly I have 2 other websites I want to make long term but this one is giving me the skills and the practice.

it was published just under another name. Look at my videos in order and it was the video that followed immediately after part 2. naming videos in series kills their growth and reach in KZread so I mixed up the strategy on the fly

Hey Miles! Thanks so much for your helpful info, these videos quite literally have altered my life trajectory in a positive way and I really appreciate that! As I'm doing the niche search I've found one that I'm passionate about but as I search for communities around it what I find are that all the communities (FB groups, Reddits, etc.) are all filled with people promoting their blogs and not people searching for answers (for the most part). Is this one of those signs of healthy competition that is good, or is this a sign that I need to select a different niche?

Ya I have been stuck foreverrrr....on a niche and domain names errrrr, but yes now who cares just start and learn by doing and changing some actions, ect......also many platforms are forever changing......sooo I guess just one thing at a time....

I totally respect your approach to suggesting starting immediately but have a difficult time figuring out a thing to blog; although, I have some ideas however. I have just come out of a health issue for the last few years (out of any business loop) and am now trying to get back into the swing of things. And at an older age too. But I will take your advice and go to your website to start the process. Hopefully, God willing, I will have something I can put my hands on through that process. Thanks, Miles

Miles, thank you sir, this is so helpful! ...quick question as this video has sparked a great interest for me to get started. Im listening to alot of the sample trends - can one (me) start a blog in a niche I have no experience. Truthfully I want to learn IM and as you said just get started BUT you said IM is not good/competitive??? and I thought I might be interested in sewing to "start learning" - can I do that, having no experience but still starting a blog? Isn't that how you did your now secret affliate site??? ...thanks again for helping us succeed! I know we all have stories and I just refused to give in to the system - so again thanks for all that you do to help us!!!

Just-in-case vs. Just-in-time learning - such a brilliant concept, Miles! I'm afraid I've been the former type of a learner all my life...2 more years of watching your videos and I might become the latter...Or does it not work this way?!:D

I’m wondering if I should start an authority site for the blog I’m going to start instead of just doing it from the actual business page. Is there a way to contact you and pay for a half hour coaching call? If not is there a second best alternative if I had a very specific question for a very specific niche?

Really appreciate your content Miles. I have been trying to buckle down on the blog but quite discouraged because I am not getting any traffic at all! Any advice of what I need to focus on would be appreciated

Thank you miles, great video as always. I finally bought my domain for my blog. And writing some content. But worried my niche is too broad. I can only write about what I know and my experience. And my experience is abusive marriage, mental health due to abuse, overcoming very difficult life situations, losing my children. Basically a lot of difficulties that I overcame and rebuilding my life. And that’s what I want to write about. Of course I’m not a licensed expert on domestic abuse and mental health and only what what I’ve learnt from the experts. I want to write about health/emotional health, getting life back on track, and building new life. And this is where I’m stuck not being sure if my niche is too broad. Could I niche down once I Start posting on my blog rather than inching down from the beginning. And I realise there are many big players in this niche, and don’t even know where this blog will take me.

It's always a pleasure to watch you Miles. I have one question. I have one Domain from Hostinger and Web hosting from the same vendor. How would it work for Blog. Would it be a separate page or should I go for buying a Domain being specific to the Niche. Domain that I have is of some video services I provide and Niche I have decided is something else.

Your choice. Many carts can do either.

In the training previously you insist using Wordpress .org but when I tried and it made me get Bluehost or Dreamhost. It isn’t a problem but I thought you didn’t want us using a website? Appreciate you as always.

Chris, every training where I explain the requirements of "starting a blog" I link you to a specific post on my website that walk you through the process. It does not sound like you followed the steps on that post. The tutorial on how to start your blog is on my site! just follow the instructions there

Great info! Right in time. I am in the process of building my website after almost three years I bought my domain but didn’t do anything about it. I have a question. Would it work to have two different hostings with the same domain? One hosting is used for POP3/IMAP email which is free but have issues when installing Wordpress and they haven’t solved the issues yet since more than two months ago though I have one support credit and the other for the web but recently no longer offer free email. Both hosting are free as long as I have my domain and my domain is registered at different registrar. For the time being I cannot afford to pay for the hosting.

Do what you have to do... I wouldn't mess with the world of hosting too much, it's a big confusing mess and getting cheap hosting is worth every penny

I've been organizing my thoughts by writing out a blueprint categorically, which helps people to resolve specific problems for others, which then potentially opens another door of opportunity for those same people to help themselves... How do I choose a template so that I can keep things organized by both categories without creating a random mess of info, keeps them engaged by seeing other categories of interest, which I can later on add some funnels for info products, etc? Is there a reliable template to use that won't require a mess of code writing down the road?

I put all of my blog posts into one category and just use tags. don't overthink it, on WordPress you never need to get deep in the coat, just keep riding. That's the most important part

How to add Privacy Policy, Terms of Use etc. in footer on Wordpress site? I use free themes and i do not know how to do that. I can write the text in footer but I can't put links to those pages.

Can you address about how to start freelancing?

it's a personal choice, but I always recommend following your interests. It will make it easier to stay focused in a few years. by the way I think you're under estimating how large of a potential net badminton actually is
