Start to Finish Large Leaf Clean up / Complained clean up cost more than house payment.. I said OK

This video is start to finish large leaf clean. Fall clean up time means leaf removal service time and for us sometimes we take on Large leaf clean up jobs. This clean up was odd because the customer complained that the clean up cost more than his house payment. In this video I talk about different blower techniques tips for cleaning up leaves and how I price these large leaf removal jobs to insure that we are no losing money. Fall clean ups don’t have to be hard if you use the right equipment and have the right tips for cleaning up leaves at your disposal.

? If you're looking for a shiny turd of a politically correct channel I'm not your guy but if you're looking for brutal honesty that's me 😉 if you have a negative view of a word it might be a feeling you are internalizing. I hope you don't have a negative view on other people. I see that word as a state of mind and not a state of being. We all have our moments. Retard Verb Delay or hold back in terms of progress, development, or accomplishments. "Our progress was retarded by unforeseen difficulties" Not to be confused with the noun😘👍🙈🙉🙊 although I did use it as a noun with the context of a verb. But then again just like everyone else I do have retarded moments Retard Noun A person who has an intellectual disability ( often used as a general term of abuse) Of course I also was not directing my statement with a negative use to anyone but myself so for that I would like to take this moment to apologize to myself. Self you're only below average from time to time. Keep doing you boo. Self thank you for the positive words of affirmation.

You know what man personally I don’t care how you dress what you look like or what your equipment looks like. If you do a good job and provide quality work and are honest that’s what matters to me as a customer. To be honest I’m willing to let extra money go out of my pocket for a business owner who is easy to get along with and does great work. If I’m treated good you will be treated good. But the minute I spot a business owner who is trying to rip me off then I lose all interest and I won’t be a regular customer. Just be straight with me. However there are so many customers out there who are not reasonable and who want to rip business owners off, and that is not good either. If I as a customer don’t behave myself just walk away as fast as you can when you’re able to.

I have only just found this channel (is channel the right word?). I live in N.S.W Australia. I am 48 and am reasonably new to watching KZread. The first thing that I noticed was his deep process of thinking. You can see that he has something deep and meaningful that he wants to share. The second thing was "Oh, dear Lord! He has no-one watching his back when he steps into the road". The third thing was, "I wonder how long it is before some asshole sees his back turned and steals from his truck and or trailer". I'm so, so sorry that your hubby's stuff was stolen. Are you back in business yet? A dog in the truck or tied to the trailer is a good deterant for thieves. Good company as well if you are a dog lover. The only thing I don't like is the over used statement he sometimes uses " It is what it is". I love his channel and feel relaxed watching him. Kind regards and best wishes to you and your hubby.

Look. This is exactly what my yard looks like at the beginning of fall every year, and into the winter. Way too many trees we aren’t allowed to cut down.... We know it’s a pain, and we don’t want to do it. We don’t have the time or equipment. I would NEVER complain about the price for this. People don’t understand how long this takes. I would gladly pay what you asked.

I have a much smaller yard than this but just as many trees. The leaves are unreal. When I do pay, it's for the convenience of not having to do it myself. It takes me longer, doesn't look as good, and I'm irritated and sore from raking and scooping/bagging. I would pay as well.

Victorious Vic, The summer between 2nd & 3rd grade my twin sister & I & our 2.5 yr older sister & our parents moved into town to a huge double lot. We cleaned 5+ feet of birdfeeder debris from barely below our new dining room window (the sunk-in patio was buried to within a foot below the window. The rest of that huge yard was just as neglected. A doctor&wife & 4 sons had lived there for too long.) Each year, there were over 20 cherry trees to harvest from (mom's cherry pie) & 3 apple trees (more pies) & a grape arber surrounded by plum trees & our large garden. It was a wonderful, big backyard that our botanist dad brought back to life! We 3 girls truly knew hard work from an early age (raising rabbits in our rabbitry of about 100 to 120 rabbits at any given time ~ work every day after school ~ freezing, raining, broiling heat & many a beautiful day... those rabbits were fed, watered, & cared for by us girls... & a spinning 2or3-bladed mower to push [not gas nor electric.]) I moved East where most of the time nature waters the plants & I have fallen in love w my 1.5 acre lot half of it forested. (One of 6 previous owners had tired of gathering & removing leaves, so he lit the forest floor on fire. The forest survived.) I have personally planted 10 crepe myrtles (now 20-30ft tall), 3 apple trees (gone), 2 pear trees (gone), 2 birch trees (gone), [The "gone" didn't survive my 20 mos. in TX, European hornets, & inexperienced pruners] 6 Holly trees, 2 Japanese Maples, 19 azaleas (now 5to7 ft tall), 9 spirea bushes, 4 lillyofthevalley bushes, 2 butterfly bushes (which should only grow to 4.5 ft tall & wide, But are 12+ ft tall & had to be limbed up like trees) I do the pruning & tree trimming or removal (& mowing & leaf processing.) Those that don't do the work have little or no idea the work it takes. It is a joy to watch this gentleman work any yard so fluidly & w honest intent. It is like watching another create art.

I was a nightshift supervisor at a small manufacturing plant. Some of the hardest working most reliable people I had struggled in high school, but speaking from my own experience i was one that didn't take stuff very seriously during those years. I never held it against any of my crew. Even taught one them some basic reading skills to help him with understanding his work. As long as they showed up for work and earned their pay i did all i could to help them. You've got a good crew helping you. Ya'll have a little fun and still get the work done. That makes the days go by well.

I complain sometimes, but the sheer fact you even have to worry about whether someone is watching you take a break and what they think, that's gotta be hard man. I cant imagine dealing with that, justifying your pace of work to someone. You guys were all working hard. Hell you were even explaining why you had to talk to your partner. Hey brother, it’s a late night and KZread recommended your video, it’s a great video and after doing a year and a half of landscaping before switching jobs due to my school schedule, I learned a lot. A HUGE tip for you, put a pallet in the very front of the bed of the truck and keep a strap that hangs just off the tailgate. When you go to dump, set the trailer down and if your dump place offers it, have them pull the strap, pallet, and all the leaves out with a tractor, backhoe, or whatever they have. We had a very large trailer and all of the leaves would just slide out like a brick, it was as efficient as I could see possible without a dump trailer. Great work on that yard! I hated doing complicated backyards with pools, beds, etc. Such a pain to move the leaves around everything and down into the front yard!

  • @jasonkeller5732

    @jasonkeller5732

    3 жыл бұрын

Awesome idea. Better yet, hook the strap of the pallet to your trailer. As you pull away from the trailer the leaves get dumped out, blow them out of the way, back up throw the pallet back in and hook up the trailer. You're out of there!

Always follow your passion. I am an artist as well. Freelance can be hard with so many scams now. You are an artist and no one can change that or take it away, but if you share your art, you are garunteed to inspire another artist asking themselves the same questions as you are today. Inspiring just one young heart to follow their passion as well, is an epic reward. Always be who you know you are. You earned the title of artist, flaunt it my love. I hope you blow up big sometime soon 😊❤ break a leg my friend and show the world just who you are!!! If I see your name in headlines, it just means you never gave up on yourself and now your form of art is irresistible to everyone else. @@nicholastrawinski yes and no, if for instance, the average price of said vehicle is “priced” by NADA, KBB etc..... is 10,000. And I got it at say 7,500. I’ll make my no haggle price at like 9,000. Gives me basically a $1500.00 markup. I still have to Md inspect it which may run from $0.00 up to whatever to pass. That comes out my $1500.00. I’d rather make a little bit off of a lot of cars sold as opposed to pressing the avg selling price. Down side is..... even though it’s at least $1,000.00 cheaper than anybody close to me, they still make offers like... “I’ll give you $6,000 cash money!!! The owners were stand up people and had built a great reputation with the town and I remember one month we sold over a hundred cars and would usually average about 75. I charge by the hour for my gardening business too. I set a timer when I'm ready to start the job with tools in hand and pack up once the alarm has gone off. That way, my client gets the full 2 hours (or whatever) of actual work they've paid for. In the case of doing a job until it's completed I use the stopwatch function on my phone instead. One lady who was 98 years old, until she died at 100 years old, liked us to have a tea break together. She told me she did this with her last gardener and it definitely gave her a bit of company. She was such a lovely person I was very happy to do this with her. She'd then be telling me off near the end and saying it was time to go but she underestimated how long the tea break was. I told her I'd put my timer on, paused it for the break, then restarted it and I still had 15 minutes of work left! If a neighbour chats to me, I add that time on. If I'm slow because it's too hot or wet, I add that time on. If I get really involved in what I'm doing and want to finish it, I do because it's my business and I can and that's my choice and I don't charge. It's the ethical and right way of doing business and it's why all my clients have become friends and I enjoy working for them. I also don't need to advertise at all because I get word of mouth recommendations.

My hardships were like trampolines that I used to improve my life later on. Each time, I said "Well, I don't want to go thru THAT again" and made a change. Small changes over time led me to big changes. I went from living in a studio apartment working two full-time jobs to living in a huge 4 bedroom house and making bank doing a cush job. It took 15 years because I'm not as bright as I'd like to think I am, but I made it. The struggles still come, but the consequences aren't as dire.

I was looking for a lightweight blower for my deck. kzread.infoUgkxgioZQl3J5wPGAeDINzbieKbT5qomSEx3 There are some huge trees around my house and the leaves and pods drop all over my deck. Having to move furniture around to sweep has become too big a chore. This blower was the answer. It is light enough for this 70yr old lady and powerful enough to blow all the tree droppings off my rather large deck. Thank you B&D. Be aware the cord is not included. I use a 3 prong outdoor cord 25' cord for my 12' x 20' deck. The cord retainer works very well, but don't try to pass the plug through it. That is NOT how it works. You just have to loop the cord and it works great. One of my best purchases. Very happy.

He was a 2× felon when we met (nothing evil or violent, just stupid lol) and chose to nut-up and do an 8 month prison bid instead of remain in the never-ending cycle of probation and court which had already dragged on for years. As soon as he was home again he got a school loan, went to the local tech college and made their plumbing course his b*tch! :) Over the last 6 years we've had 3 beautiful children together and built a thriving business that's sustained us through EVERYTHING, including the pandemic. His dream was to have his own plumbing business and a family, and pass his skills and knowledge on to his kids one day. All my life I'd hear people say they're 'living the dream' but I never truly knew what that was until I started living with my man. Love Your Projects. I work on my own land all the time. BUT your talks on your own experience are inspiring and very informative. You do not keep the experience and lessons to yourself. Again a great watch all the the time.

Just started up this season, bought a trailer hitch for my honda civic and a 5x8 utility trailer, spending almost $10 in gas for the whole day. Went and grabbed a 48" walk behind zero turn mower. Started going door to door handing out flyers. Its been about 2 months now and I have 8 solid customers that ask for a good amount of work. I use Venmo for payments right now and have been paid within the hour of leaving every job. Just did 8 yards of mulch yesterday at a house. And went straight from that job to go buy myself a Agri Fab towable leaf vacuum on marketplace to handle some cleanups. Got 2 houses to suck up leaves at today and should already make the machines money back. Proud feeling to be able to have your business pay for a new business upgrade. I charge by the job and not hourly but my prices average out to $75/hour for standard mowing and $150/hour for other work.

I wish you lived near me . You could have dumped them at my yard. I use all leaves for my garden& planter boxes. I mulch all garden areas.

I admire the work you do. It is really a detail oriented job. I am a perfectionist and I know what it takes to make a yard really pretty! That is a MOUNTAIN of work! Thanks for the upload!

You know I may sound silly but a big wide light snow shovel does really well with moving piles of leaves. I sometimes take off the backpack in favor on pushing the pile with the shovel first and then blow the rest of the left over leaves. Trust me!

If people are going to complain, they can either do it themselves or get someone else to do it. The owner of this property could have purchased a blower and did the job himself. Do it bit by bit

Good vid mate, I was an electrician in north wales and the amount of times people tried to get the bill cheaper was a pain in the arse, and it was people with many cars and big houses.
