Went out early this morning because Houston temperatures finally dropped into the low 60's tied on my whopper plopper and spinnerbait and caught 7 within an hour. Not monsters but 1 pound and 2 pounds is a good little fight

I also like skipping the buzztoad under docks as well it works really well and is the only topwater that i think can be skipped under docks

Both of you together was great I used the buzz toad all the time have been for years i used it on a single 4-0 hook or a dbl frog hook

Cool video, thank you for the good information. Last week I went kayak fishing and landed 4 LMB off the horny toad.....They were little guys though, maybe 3 lbs was the biggest that day.

Great video. I’ve still yet to unlock a great buzzbait bite. Whopper plopper absolutely is a confidence option though in ponds. Also - I actually fish my magnum rage bug like a buzz toad pretty often. I’ll cast it weightless around grass and reel it consistently to keep it right at the surface. Have caught some great fish that way!

For me I use buzz bait when there is more weeds I am pulling it over and in a more stained or muddy lake whopper plopper if there isn't weeds at surface and clear to strained as long as it isn't muddy

Yep!

Caught some TOADS on the weightless soft plastic frog yesterday. Extremely shallow water, grass on top and just sub surface. Massive grass flat, you could catch them anywhere

@@TylersReelFishing yep.. one of my favorite top water spots in DFW. Gets too matted to fish mid summer, but prespawn and fall you can catch some numbers, and the occasional 4+ pounder up to a 7 is the biggest I've seen caught there

If your not fishing a buzz toad in MN. Your missing a lot of fish. Larger and smallmouth.

You must not have it spooled up right. Search “TylersReelFishing spool” or “TylersReelFishing line” and I’m sure I have videos to help you there
