I LOVE THIS! Art is such a stress relief but I find it to be intimidating for many people. You don’t have to have a ‘natural gift’ to express yourself.

Hi Dakota, I often feel that way, and it keeps me out of my workshop, bit I've found if I just go there and just sit, and let my thoughts go where ever they want to go, it often help with inspiration. I've also found a healthy attitude to failer, because a lot of what I do are experiments , and so i often do fail, so I've made friends with it, and it seems to be working for now lol. @@linerliner7412 I couldn't agree more. Being able to express yourself and finding something to express in the first place seems to be the hardest part about art. I personally am completely uncapable of doing so, and I assume the vast majority of people is too, as there are only very few people we can call artists. At least we can settle on watching them create.

You are just the loveliest… I’m so glad I found you! For most of my life (I’m in my fifties), I never allowed myself to play and find my joy and you have inspired me to do just that. Blessings to you Wendy. xoxo

I love watching you work, love your freeness and incredible art. I could sit and listen to you all day...like many said, you're magical! Thank you for sharing yourself with us.

First time I'm watching a video of yours. You are magical and I want to be like you when I grow up. You look beautiful with your natural hair, we need more role models like you of rocking grey/white hair. Sometimes I feel like I ought to give up enjoying fairies but you are so charming that it makes me want to keep embracing 'childish' things. I also appreciate how free you are with textures, layers, and 'mistakes'. I've noticed in artists' retrospectives that as they got older, their artwork got freer and looser. I'm looking forward to that happening in my own artwork. I'm shy with paint and I don't like getting my hands dirty sensorily so pens and origami are my comfort zone. But I want to feel the freedom of messiness and not be so tightly controlled. Seeing how you work helps it feel a bit less scary and more accessible to me.

In my imagination you, Ms, Wendy, are a retired Hogwarts professor, making art and living ur best magical life!

I’ve been wanting to comment about this for some months now, and now you actually released a video about fairies! I knew from the first time I saw you that you aren’t human, you’re a magical creature, most likely a beautiful fairy, just very very well disguised as a human. Otherwise how would you even know enough to make a fairy diary? But in all seriousness, you actually look like a magical being, a very wise one, I love your videos and you inspire me probably more than any artist over here in the interwebs. Love and light! ❤️🙏✨

I believe in fairies! Ever since discovering the Flower Fairy books by Cicely Mary Barker as a child, I've been drawing and painting fairies. Their magic is our inspiration. :) What a lovely journal page - thank you for sharing.

Oh I do love watching your post very grounding. And.. Yes I think I do believe in fairys. I Haven't seen them that I can recall but truly believe in them as a child. I use to sew little fairy cloths when I was a child and I would put them in the little sand caves I'd make in my sand box. I have to say, that over the year I’ve had different ideas for art and pottery which I haven’t carried through to completion and yes, exactly as you say , about a month or so later I see it done by someone else and I could kick myself. That ideas fairy does give the ideas to someone else and sometimes she’s a bit impatient! Thankyou for sharing xxx

so relatable 😊 I am not so good yet, impossible even in just a few years and started as a adult, but fairies are my to go to thing to paint 😊 most paintings don't feel finished until there is a fairy in it. the forest is definitely my inspiration source and I come there every day with my doggos 😊

I've never kept a diary or tried journaling but this video has left me with a genuine longing to try. I felt myself completely relax while watching and listening to you. It was a lovely experience. I have a soft spot for both trees and fairies. My Dad was a full blood Swede and his Mom filled my childhood with much fairy lore and magical whimsey. I use to sit under a willow tree in our yard with a bowl of milk and honey and wait for a fairy to appear. This video brought those memories back into my heart. Thank you so very much for that. What a lovely gift to be given on a rainy afternoon...

in romania we have a say "a vazut Ielele" which translates to "he's seen the Iele" those being fairies, but in reality it's a way of naming the "ideas". All philosophers that gave off the gaze of being exagerated, crazy, senseless, overwhelmed by the wish for everything to be ideal and perfect were said to have "seen the Iele", so the ideas, the absolute. Seeing how folclore influences the intelectual, the ideas, the human desire to know everything and "the truth" is truly amazing...

I've been journaling for forty years in a writing journal and then I paint and then I started creating painting journals, but this takes it to a whole new level.
