well starset songs have a lore, and i think the drone is singing about its owner or care taker and the sirens singing for him is oceans of code because it being a robot and the echo is its memories and the second verse "I was only in my mind You were on the outside waiting I could feel you all the time Your voice could save me Now all these Sirens sing for me But I just wanna hear your melody I call and I can hear you sing But oh, it’s only my echo It's only my echo" it implies the robot was designed for space exploration, and the person it cared about was on the outside indicating the planet and the next verse "I know life is a journey So what happened to me? I don’t know, I don’t know Show the way, cause it's blurry Show the way and your mercy to me Nothing there, and I'm worried It's all I know, all I know" may indicate it may have been just a probe used in a war, given all the ruins in the music video, or the operator cut contact, or the operator was killed in a war, and the robot doesn't know, and perhaps in this supposed future that can back up consciousness and the robots finds the operator in that system and is reunited

Some are difficult to figure, one song is truly Christian and then another makes you wonder. Only heard this one so far. This is the first song I heard from starset and now that I like all their music, this is legendary.

Echo is probably my favourite song from starset. It helped me and my family grieve for my gran and it’s also the name of my pet snake! This bad always one ups themselves and this music video is an example. Keep it up guys!!

Sirens it's a metaphor. In ancient greek mythology the sirens were beautiful creatures trying to lure you close to them by singing so beautifully and harm you. Sirens here to me symbolizes all the temptations of life. How beautiful they seem but how much harm they cause you in the end. "But I just wanna hear your melody" Symbolizes he just wanna hear god's voice, be assured of his existence, he wants to find answers. next, "I call and I can hear you sing, but oh it's only my echo" so all this time, when he would call out, and he would get answers, it would be himself "answering" back to him. Not "god" . Honestly the message from the whole song , to me is as deep as it gets but anyone can interpret it however they want.

They feel like they're on top of the world when they're high or getting their fix ("I used to be divinty; I used to be a god in my mind; Sailing in an odyssey, I didn't know I was blind..."), meanwhile, every time they partake, their partner is on the outside trying to get them back and pull them out of it ("...every time I set a course into the dark night, you would follow me silently with searchlights..."). Eventually, they realize that they're caught in the grasp of addiction and that their grand feelings are only in their mind ("I was only in my mind, you were on the outside waiting"). They realize that their partner is on the outside, trying to pull them back ("I could feel you all the time, your voice could save me"). They love their partner and like to think that their love can save them, but the siren's song of whatever they're addicted to is more compelling ("All these sirens sing for me..."). They realize that they wish they could break free and get back to their partner ("...but I just wanna hear your melody"). They think they might, but then realize it's not as easy as they thought ("I call and I can hear you sing but ohhh, it's only my echo"). When they started partaking in their object of addiction, they thought they could keep it under control and otherwise have a normal, great life with their partner ("I thought it was destiny; I was gonna conquer the sky, then plummet to the ground and be anchored by your side"). Then they realize it's not that easy and they get pulled in by their fix ("But every time I found myself upon new heights, I would climb again and leave you in the moonlight"). Upon realizing their addiction, they reflect on it and how they got to this point ("I know life is a journey, but what happened to me? Tell me, why was I in such a hurry? I don't know"). Eventually, they project their frustration onto their partner, who ultimately had to leave them for self-preservation because said partner couldn't pull the subject of the song out of their addiction. The partner could only do so much. From the subject's perspective, their partner "gave up" on them ("I know life is a journey, but you gave up on me early..."). I suppose they could be talking to God at this point too, feeling like God has abandoned them. They suggest that if only their partner/God was still there, they might be able to break free of the addiction. They plead for help and mercy, but their partner is already gone or God doesn't seem to answer ("Show the way 'cause it's blurry, show the way and your mercy to me; Nothing there and I'm worried"). It's a really sad song, but so well done. It's my second favorite on the album behind WTSE.

To me it symbolizes the dark night of the soul (as it's called in spiritually) your most difficult and dark period of your life before you "awaken" and realize you have God inside you, cause we are all god, pieces of the same thing. Starset is literally a part of my life

I can't believe it took me so long to realize that in the final scene when only the white lines of the robot are seen, it's actually forming a happy face...it looks so assuring, it's beautiful ☺

These guys are so much different from anything else. Between their book, and setting their music videos with a galactic theme, they have incredible creative talent.

Truely a breath of fresh air when it comes to music. A mix of Rock, Pop, and Electronic that is wholly unique.

It's really great seeing a pretty small band like Starset making such great animated videos. The animations in this video are world class.

I feel like someone sent Starset from heaven.

This song really hit super different. Considering I've finally found the first girl I genuinely love and care for, and hearing how she's been treated by her ex's makes me wanna knock her ex's out. I can't wait till she's in my arms so I can give her my best

Starset and their creative team is so great at coordinating the visuals in their videos with the music. Another favorite moment of mine is in the "Stratosphere" when the camera hits the ground right on the beat toward the end. So satisfying.

This song makes me remember about the game One Shot. Idk but it’s feels like they both make a journey throughout the land and meet new people who are suffering without the light and they have the option to go home or stay there and make the world bright again. This little guy chose to make the world beautiful again. It’s truely touching

starset deserves more than a "billion" subscribers

It speaks to the greatness of starset when some people say this is their favorite song by them while others (including me) think this is maybe the 6th best song off the album.

You ever listen to a song and get goosebumps? I do . . . and I did.

I instantly thought of Little Nightmares and Journey when I saw the little Echo Also, I can totally see this little guy being the mascot for Starset

Damn I can't even begin to express how happy I am that they made such a pretty music video for my favorite song, it literally brought me to tears holy hell.

This video should be the definition of art, beauty and harmony. I love it, thank you for existing Starset.

One of my favorite songs off divisions. The video doesn't disappoint

Somehow Echo reminds me of Little Nightmares game for no reason, but it would be nice to see if this become a videogame, plus this song is very underrated

@@avi8aviate the aesthetic is really similar, it's hard to describe it with words but I can see the connection. Although in oneshot you play as a cat instead of whatever the main character of this music video is.

There are few songs that invoke this kind of emotion in me, and even fewer with music videos that are even more powerful. I've loved starset since the beginning, but this song is hands down my favorite of theirs.

I used to listen to starset like 5 years ago, but dang, this is truly breathtaking. They improved a lot.
