Tory, just to clarify the theme of this year's Met Gala, "The Garden of Time" was based on the Costume Institute's current exhibit, "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion," so J.Lo's gown combined the two. She explained that the top of the design was butterfly wings & if you look at the rest of the pattern, it looks like branches & leaves, tying in the garden theme. You mentioned it reminded you of 1920s Great Gatsby glamour, which would tie in the theme of time & reawakening fashion, i.e., retro styles brought forward into the present/future. Taking that into consideration, it seems spot on to me. (Btw, speaking of fashion, your dress for this episode was adorable & very cheery!
