25 Met Gala Secrets Celebrities Are Hiding

The Met Gala is fast approaching and a lot of us can’t wait for it! Or… at least we can’t wait to hear about it and see our favorite celebs on the red carpet because we surely won’t be there.
And even if we were able to make Anna Wintour’s guest list, most of us probably couldn’t cough up the money for a ticket, which would costs around $30,000. It’s fashion’s biggest night, but it’s also one of fashion’s most expensive nights. Even securing a table to the event costs a hefty six figures.
As you’d probably imagine, such a star-studded event like the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Benefit has to be planned thoroughly to go off without a hitch. And a big part of that planning is the coveted guest list. There’s so much that goes into who sits with who, what guests certain celebrities are bringing as plus ones, and which plus ones can be approved.
The Met Gala event also has it’s fair share of rules regarding social media and smoking. But as you can imagine at an event full of at least 500 celebrities and designers, some of those rules are bound to be broken.

I once went to the Met Gala as a VIP security guard. One of the VIP ladies dropped a purse, so I opened it (to check if it was something dangerous). She had eight different types of perfumes, and that was it. EIGHT!

@@Marlonxx_ only reasons I can think of is maybe they were gifts or the bottles were filled with some other fluid(s) for other purposes....? Weird me out as well

So funny watching this after the event knowing that it was roundly criticized for the ignorance or apathy of the attendees for the theme. And then the whole Monroe kerfuffle.

I mean most of these rules are pretty understandable considering how huge this event is. And honestly who would even think of using social media at the event like this? You wouldn't even have the time to. But I don't see why would you even want to while you're there,you should have fun and talk to everyone and see different looks and take pics. And the smoking thing is a must everywhere imo. If you wanna smoke go somewhere where is a smoke area,not around others who don't smoke with that awful smell also some people are allergic.

None of this sounds very fun
Once I was a political finance mgr. I suggested as a fund raiser I had a high end menu produced that went out with invite. At the bottom of the menus I added “good news, put on your pjs just send a check we are only setting i]out one plate. Support us but no requirement to show up, no requirement to eat food you don’t like, and most of all every dollar goes to support our candidate. Thanks, let me know how your leisure time went’ we’ll let you know how much we saved and made from this non-event
