Eric (Jack O’Connell, UNBROKEN) is a violent young offender prematurely thrown into the dark world of an adult prison. Jack O'Connell was incredible in this. So so talented.
rating: underrated. I thought this film was excellent. The chemistry among the cast, the perfect editing with the raw camera work. I thought it was great.
Jack and Ben were OUTSTANDING! I wavered between contempt and sympathy for each of them throughout the movie - admittedly mostly contempt.
So understated as himself..But when he goes to work, WOW.. a unique and powerful presence, amazing..

This was a great film. Jack really did a fantastic job portraying the main character. Ben mendleson's performance was solid as well. They went deep with their character study on this one. Portrayed violence AND the psychology behind it, or the prison mindset anyway - (Spoiler alert. Kind of.) both characters experience transformation, and the bond between father and son grows stronger as a result. As real as a movie can be. Two thumbs (double bubble) and 2 lighters up! 5 starred up gold stars!
