We are so happy with Starlink service verses what we had(which was a joke!)

You are obviously intelligent people b/c you own/ride a Victory! Beautify bike and will likely outlast you. And the video was pretty good too. ;) I'm waiting on my Starlink to arrive but have purchased non-penetrating mounting brackets that attach to the standing seams of my metal roof, but I really like your magnetic mounts and would have liked to have considered them.

Same here! Less holes, less chances of leaks! Lol picked them up on Amazon, they have a rubber coating to protect the metal as well

The cable should detach from the Dishy though, then you don't need such big holes to thread the router end through the wall as you feed the cable out from the inside...magnets are a great idea!

Did you mount the magnets right to the tripod style mount that comes out of the box? Did you have to drill any holes through those legs? I have equipment ordered for a cabin in Canada.

Mike purchased some bolts, washer and nuts to mount them to the holder, no drilling was required. After a year and a half it is still holding up great

Yes we have had several severe storms with winds surging into the 60mph range. -Mike

The base will stay on the roof whenever we use it while camping. The dish removes from the base and I will just place it on the base I have installed on my fifth wheel ladder when we are at our campsite!

Great idea. My corrugated roof is just like your blue siding. I'm wondering if the magnets work on a ridged surface that isn't completely smooth. Did the magnets work well for you or can they be nudged around by bad weather?

It’s been on the roof now for 7 months and hasn’t budged. The magnets have been incredibly strong.

We did a waterproof junction box that the wire feeds into. Not sure if that is what you meant

It is mounted down the wall. We used 3m command hooks, clear, to keep it from rubbing/swinging

Thanks for sharing this video I live up in Alaska and the 5-10mb/s available in the mountains is getting old. Starlink has mounting options but I really didn't want to spend 250 dollars for the mount they offer. Can you share a direct link of the brackets/magnets you used? Your previous links you've shared in other comments do not work.

How did you get the vertical pole to be vertical mounting on a angled roof?

It’s not actually vertical, but the starlink moves into place and may be causing an optical illusion.
