Was wondering why the mobs in the area are spongy and hits like a truck. And this boss was the sign of 'Yep shouldn't be here this early'

Using the fire punch gave me immunity frames when he did his swipeing and slam attacks

really hate this boss only because of the claw attack, it seem to always able to hit me no matter i run far or run behind him, hitbox be damn in this game

Oh man! Where’d you get the dash ability!!?? I’ve been trying to fight this boss without it and been getting demolished lol

@@CrankyTemplar where's that, I've been trying to figure out how to dodge this bosses attack without it for 10 days now. thats just poor game design, took me 5 hours to get to him only to find out its a dead end

I did this at low-ish level with a level 3 whip on my first run, a bad idea, took me forever to KO it when my best hits dealt around 115 dmg

Ive just did the same yesterday haha.. wasnt good for my health lol.. I was using the lvl 2 whip and I have spend all my granades also.. I took forever..

The bosses look cool in this game..Is the level design and gameplay good also?? Is it worth the full price or wait till sale in your honest opinion??

I'd compare it to Blasphemous 2 overall (and the prices are comparable) but the playstyle is a bit different since parrying is possible but annoying due to a two button press and you need to buy/find healing items (which are very plentiful but you fill up to your max carrying capacity at save points if you have available healing items). Spikes/pits are like the original Blasphemous in that they insta-kill you. There's a good number of secrets/fake walls and plenty to explore but Blasphemous 2 probably felt a little bigger. Still, I've found this to be pretty solid so far.

First, yes; the map is enormous and full of secrets and the gameplay can be a little clunky at first, but becomes really fun once you get used to it. Second, no. I think that for a metroidvania is a little expensive... I would wait for a discount under 20 bucks to buy it.

How do i increase my max number of heals? I can't use more than seven in the same fight, but i see eleven of them in this video.

There are items to increase your max heals that you can find. There should be guides on KZread for their locations.

Is this an optional boss? Cause i just got to him and i feel like i shouldn't be fighting him right now. This is the 3rd boss so far...

Yes, I would advise coming back when you get air dash and upgrade your weapon a good bit - I fought it when my weapon was +5.

I made that mistake going there early. At least when you go back more prepared it'll be so much easier.

You get them after beating Yegor and Leena in Esk Mansion. You need the grappling hook and get there by going from the Site Cave to the Marshlands and then through the City of Erlim.

Ethereal Great Blade. It's found in the crypt.

I mustve reached him to early, doing no dmg hell fire does no dmg, bombs do nothing jesus this dude is tanky asf

It's very easy to reach him too early. I recommend coming back with air dash and a +5 weapon.

What level are you here?

I don't really remember but I'm going to guess somewhere around 80. I had pretty much reached the soft cap with strength long before this boss.
