tengma8 Some channels tried solving this by adding extra minutes to the end of each series so it'd always have the same length. It does however make each replay seem like a huge time investment and might turn people off.

Man, storm drops were the shit back in BroodWar. Super terrifying. Its a shame its so underused in SC2.

I used to make disruptor drops when playing with friends, never thought about storms though

Man i remember my first time playing as protoss against a plat zerg that did mass mutas, i got so frustrated that he just kept rotating between my bases wearing me down while doing zergling runbys and i couldnt kill them all, and eventually i just had no minerals . I felt so demoralized, couldnºt for the longest time understand how to deal with it.

Just curious.. starcraft co-op player here (try pvp.. get my teeth punched in like, minute 2 every time). When the enemy goes brood lord.. wouldn't a switch to phoenix be a fix, mean they are fast, 'anti-air' that can fire on the move.. so if you get 10 or so, as a 'buffer' to just chew on broodlords...

Talatharas Phoenixes are good against light units, they do very little against brood lords. And brood lords are rarely alone, they are usually accompanied by something that shoots air (like corruptors), and then phoenixes are dead. You nees heavy air against brood lord (carrier, tempest, even void ray works) or blink stalkers with a beefy backup to deal with the broodlings.

Since this is pro level, zerg would notice it and destroy the pylon with his zerglings. It would just be a waste of time and apm.

protoss players always go with offensive move with probe, no wonder why carbot made probe such a pain in you-know-where

So, mutalisks are essentially worthless? I don't play multiplayer at all, but it seems that everyone goes straight to broodlords/corruptors/vipers and bypasses mutalisks altogether.

Mira's are fragile and expensive. Every other Zerg unit can be decent in an a-move fight given the right situation. Mutas almost always lose.

Yes, its useless now, in SC1, Z players use them to harass workers, but in SC2 Terran Hellion, Medivac & Protoss Oracle, Adept is much cheaper and faster to build in early game than Muta. So yeah, Blizz should delete Muta from the game or atleast buff it.

They are not worthless, they just need to be used in the right moment and in the right way, like in the last game. Also, if the protoss doesn't open with stargate and does not kill the zerg before he can get to mutas it's gg, because phoenixes are the only thing that counters them. If you notice, the only game where Hero didn't open with stargate, he did a 2-base allin to kill the zerg right away.

Storm drops? That certainly is interesting, but this video really should have been labeled "mutas?!?" Just in general I can't remember the last time I've seen mutas in a professional sc2 game

Drop the HTs box select as you are dropping them and then strom, just do it quickly there's no magic trick about it :D

Yeah, learning to read Korean is not big deal, as you said all the letters are phonetic

Reading Korean (not understanding, just reading) is really simple, you can watch like 20 minutes of videos on youtube and a little bit of practice and you'll get it.

I'm really courious about the ratio between zerg wins and losses against other races because it seems like zerg is flatout better.

It stays pretty consistently even, which it would even if one race was imbalanced. Think about it, if T is stronger than P, then someone who is really good with P will get placed with someone who is mediocre with T, and they will have about the same number of wins and losses, and the T and P ratio will be close, even though there isn't real balance.
