"The boring captain that explains everything to us like we're hungover and can't remember yesterday" - Winter Casually glances over to Jim Raynor working his way through the third bottle of booze. "Can't imagine why Matt might be that way." - Everyone else on the crew

Some medics, missile frigates, and knowing that you can cancel the barrage part way through makes this mission a smidge easier.

The obvious choice for the Terran-multiplayer Mothership-comparable one-off super-unit is the Odin. 1) Build Odin outside in the open, like the Thor was supposed to be. 2) Give the Odin a variety of modes, two of which can be used at any time. Make switching between modes take enough time to make the choice meaningful. 3) Make the Odin just as clunky and slow and just as expensive to repair as in campaign, so an opponent can easily avoid it rather than face it. 4) Modes: - Sensor Tower: mobile, but otherwise the same as Terran building version. - Hunter Seeker Missile: the old one that did damage. Energy based, with capacity for 3 or 4 consecutive missiles. Missiles cannot be stacked because only the Odin can use it, and there can only be one Odin. - Science Vessel: separates from Odin and by default follows it around repairing it, but can be micro'd away to repair other mech and can be targeted by enemies. Science Vessel can also use its energy to create Point Defense Drones, with a large enough energy bar to create three or four of them. - High Impact Single Target or Splash Damage mode (not both at same time) - Nuclear Missile: same as Ghost but the Odin can call down up to three at once, does not need to stay stationary and can fight while waiting, but does need to stay in range of target and maintain line of sight for a hit. -Melee Mode: Gungnir (Spear), Mjolnir (Hammer), or Skofnung (Sword). Devastating melee range single target damage, so great against, say, ultralisks, but ineffective against zerlings. Each option comes out in sequence with each transition to Melee Mode, but each has the same stats, just different art and animations. These will compliment the Terran army less than the upgraded Mothership, but more than the zerg's Brutalisk super-unit. The Odin will also maintain a middle ground between earth and sky, while the mothership is sky focused, and the Brutalisk is ground focused.

The Zerg's Brutalisk super-unit, like the Protoss Mothership and Terran Odin, will have six modes, two of which can be active at any time. Brutalisks are raised from infancy. They grow faster by fighting and feeding on enemies or friends alike, including buildings. In their youth, multiple can be raised and count against the supply cap, essentially a new zerg unit. But, when one gets large enough, it will kill and consume all other fledgling brutalisks, triggering a growth spurt, resulting in the one mature super-unit. Modes: - Sinkhole: Brutalisk burries deep underground, out of detection range, and undermines a marked location. Animation similar to earth cracking before Nydus eruption (but 4-5 times bigger area) and a Protoss vortex like effect in that it sucks units AND buildings into the sinkhole, dealing damage similar to a nuclear missile and shifting buildings, potentially disconnecting add-ons, and moving buildings out of power fields. The animation will finish with the Brutalisk surfacing at the center of the sinkhole, where the player can take back control of it. On a cooldown timer. - Abduct: Same as the Viper but with perhaps a little more range, and the fact that the Brutalisk is waiting to deal damage at the other end. Brutalisk abduct also pulls air units to the ground where brutalisk can use melee attacks and ground only units can hit the air unit for a short time before it, if still alive, regains some altitude. - Burrow-Move: Brutalisk's spines stick up out of the ground as it tunnels, so it will be targetable, but it will deal damage like a Lurker to anything that touches it. The Brutalisk will thus be able to move unobstructed (terrain permitting) under an enemy army or enemy buildings, dealing terrible, terrible damage as it goes. Spine footprint possibly the size of an Ultralisk, moving at the speed of a burrowed Roach, with continuous DPS equivalent to a handful of Lurkers. Brutalisk also gets an armour boost while burrowed (because shooting through dirt is hard). Burrow-move requires energy, and distance moved while burrowed, not time burrowed, determines duration. - Fury: Brutalisk's speed, dps, and regeneration rate all increase temporarily. Regeneration occurs despite being in active combat. On cooldown timer. - Healing Zone: Creates an area within which all zerg (including buildings) receive enhanced healing over time. Healing Zone is created around the Brutalisk, extends for some diameter around it, and moves when it moves. No time or energy limit. - Needles: Ranged attack, same as Hydras, but as many needles as 3-4 Hydras, and each needle doing 2-3 times as much damage. They are bigger, after all. Make it happen, Winter! They listen to you! p.s. And while you are at it, can you please make them nerf fungal? And make feedback pop infestors again? At least feedbacking infestors who are actively controlling enemy units? Surely they should pop. Perhaps get rid of infestors all together. Or give vipers mind control and infestors parasitic bomb (or vice versa) so one spell caster has both parasitic bomb and fungal while the other spellcaster has mind control and abduct; it just makes biological sense.

I'm guessing from chat that there was a Liberator upgrade that he bought initially that was broken/bugged somehow and he went back to before that point.

Gotta have the flashbacks before the final fight. More emotional impact that way. Nah there were two parts missing, this is the last one.
