@@jkkim6928 Very fair question. It was legit. At the time I had rallied my hydras down low not having any idea there was a base there, and was tunnel visioned up top. I genuinely thought the game was over. It wasn't until while watching my final seconds I saw that I had found something below and took a final shot at killing the base (tho I saw a worker escape and was convinced he had built something with it.) GViper - if you are out there - if I caused a change in your behavior in the game as a result, I genuinely apologize. I never intended to fake out on the gg. I genuinely thought you had won the game.

At 10:45, you can actually see the Missile Turret guy ejecting or something when the Turret blows up. Kinda neat.

I think they are, winged zerglings actually do long jumps during their running animation sometimes

Lowko, a lot of times gold level players are playing for fun. They don't care about become pros or GM. It's a game. It's fun. There is no fun in doing the same comfortable strat over and over. It's fun to just don illy nilly things to play with different units.

These were all very magical viewer games, each had something very special going on.

That 2nd game was by far the most intense game I have ever played in my life. I was SO confused when I lost, and it took me like 2 whole minutes to find the stupid nydus. So glad I sent it to Harstem and you! I loved your commentary. I love using the caster units even though I'm not that good, so I'll proly continue to make infestors at 2.5k MMR. Also why are hydras bad? they're like my favorite unit apart from the viper.

xelnaga saw uThermal’s “PF to GM” challenge and was just having a good time All jokes aside, I haven’t actively played on the ladder since 2018 and I always thought I was rusty, but then I watched several of these viewer games and it makes me want to do some placement matches just to see where I’d be presently. I was Gold back then and while I didn’t fully grasp the meta the amount of head scratching decisions in these replays 😭

I think zercling has not wings but is like "leaves" to absorb more oxygen which makes them faster?

Was definitely not my intention. I hope he didn't. I was too tunnel visioned on my own hatchery (my lack of attention to the mini map is a serious downfall). It was a last second realization I had a chance.

I'm not gonna lie, those were some terrible games, but they were absolutely wonderful, too. I love seeing weird builds that just ignore the pro meta and run off to do their own thing.

Okay I am in plat league and I have actually played against someone doing that exact same mass CC strategy many times before. It’s actually a common thing. What this is is a high MMR player on a Smurf account trying to do dumb builds to style on his opponents. When he said “gg” that was an offensive gg.

I don't believe it's a smurf. Smurfs would build at least one ghost to actually use the nukes. There is a difference between following a (stupid) strategy and just placing random buildings. However, if this terran tried to imitate civ's Ghandi made a solid effort xD

I think at some point during development the zerglings were meant to climb cliffs with that upgrade and then they scratched it but kept the wings because the 3d model had already been done

Yeah you can honestly tell that some unit upgrades from the campaign were probably tested for pvp but scrapped. Im glad they kept the model though cause the wings look cool

Lol, maybe its Blizzard trolling him. I still remember when i finished HoS camping when its was new, And decided to try multiplayer. I played sorting matches- won two because oponents DC'ed. Was sorted into high gold. Played maybe 10 games and lost all of them really badly. But oponents were scared shitless, lvl 5 in same Leagues as them. They thought i am smurfing.
