This is appearently a reflex thing, they're propelled by Jet Farts (read the wiki it's hilarious)

Why I have the impression Tychus actually did not want to kill Kerrigan? You know - the slow movement of his trigger finger like he's hesitating, the "Damn shame." line... My theory is, that even as ruthless SOB he was, he couldn't bring himself to betray Raynor as his life-long friend. And since he knew Mengsk will kill him remotely by shutting down his vital organs via his armour in case he won't kill Kerrigan, he preferred quick and painless death from hands of his friend...

+RayPall But he still took the shot, he couldn't possibly know that Raynor would lean a bit towards the left and block the shot. So in the end he wouldn't hesitate to kill Kerrigan.

Chris Goldenmouth In my theory, I think he counted on it. He knew Raynor went through all kinds of hell not only to stop Queen of Blades, but his main motivation was to save Kerrigan. Tychus must've known Raynor would rather take the bullet himself instead of just watching Kerrigan die. So he gave him plenty of time to realize the situation and to reach for his gun. He could just shoot her without a word.

RayPall Still in one of the cutscenes in the Hyperion we see Tychus implying that Kerrigan should die and then placing his (what is it called in english? That cigarette-like thing :P ) on a screen which shows her face.

Chris Goldenmouth Dont know. The whole Tychus death scene is maybe just typical "villain talks instead of just shooting" moment...but my theory would add some tragedy and drama to it all

Just as General Warfield says "I got a battle to win" I felt "you must do what you do perfectly, because that looks dreadfully hopeless" but that's what I love about General Warfield.

It takes out a lot of the scariness from the Hydralisks if you can just deck the fucker square in the jaw to kill it.

I think it's mainly because the terrans actually improved their tech on the marines. You might have noticed that the armor and guns are hell of a lot more beefy and higher tech compared to the old ones. Granted this is mostly due to the developers having better animation stuff but lore-wise the terrans could have just gotten sick of not even scaring the zerg with their stuff and revamped their gear.

I've played Starcraft 1 and even back then I thought that a movie, possibly a trilogy would be great. Now I am sure that it would be awesome

I always thought that the invasion scene where the zerg overwhelm the fleet before the attack was reminisce of the invasion scene of starship troopers where the fleet encounters "light" flak, but ends up getting wrecked and losing hundreds of thousands in mere hours after the first wave. I thought it was a nice touch

They are banshees, they have 2 Rotors at the end, and they are specifically a bomber unit in the lore, firing Whiplash rockets at ground units, and also has the ability to go cloaked.

You should note that at the end when he carries Kerrigan away from the cave, He comes out alone, which means he probably killed the other marines that were in there too!

Kerrigan:"Jim" Raynor:"Yes honey" Kerrigan:"Weres all my clothes??" Raynor:"Uhhhh"

Warfield is such a badass, really my favorite character. Got sad when he died

they did about warhammer 40k: space marines, so hopefully sometimes one about starcraft universe will come to! we can only hope!

Sweat and blood deserved a real cinematic, ingame graphics are great, but imagine how beautiful it would be.

Other planets can have climates based on different liquids (depending on the temperature scale). For example saturn's moon titan has rivers and seas full of methane and on venus the clouds are made of sulfur compounds

M. Koiter? Kewl reference from the guys at Blizz ^^ Michael Koiter was working on World of Warcraft when he died during development. He's also found fame at the Shrine of the Fallen Warrior in the Barrens, where there is a spirit healer named Koiter, and the initials M.K. on a tomb with a dead orc warrior.

They're not Space Marines .-. Terran Marines or simply Marines would be sufficient

Koiter was an artist at blizzard. The guy died of heart failure in 2004. This was one of the most touching things i've ever seen...

Damn that was a beautiful ending to an RTS game, brilliant job on Blizzard's part, they never fucking fail to deliver, unlike Relic, fucking bastards made a legend of a game, Company of Heroes, and then let everybody and their grandma down with Company of Heroes 2.

The ironic part is that this could all have been Warhammer 40K if Games Workshop weren't complete fuck heads and pulled the plug just before the development finished.

No, Matt's last name is Horner. M. Koiter was a Blizzard artist who died very young (i think it was heart failure), so they put his name there as an in memoriam.

@sh0mmY Well it is as simple as it seems to be, Drones in the space uses solar to power themselves, and makes a force behind them, theere is gravity resistance, the same scenario with wings, to propulse them forward.

I know that but thank you for the reply. I was only referencing tot their armour profile and weapons which is as bulky as space marines.

That's probably what the case is. Especially if it's for the sake of redundancy: chemical-explosion driven round that then hits the EMF coils of the proper Gauss component. That and it would serve as a "backup" if the EMF coils somehow get knocked out, you've still got that wonderful blast of gunpowder sending metal barreling towards your target.

Mutas are starcrafts 1 & 2's most OP unit, they can fly with wings in space with out air, defying the laws of physics.

The original manual says, that the standard marine's rifle are Gauss rifles. Which is obviously not 100% true, because as far as I know, the Gauss rifle uses an electromagnetic field to accelerate the bullet, which would mean the lack of both bullet shells and muzzle fire. I guess it's a hybrid weapon of some sorts.

That's the thing, they don't. When in space they expel special gases from their body as their propulsion which in turn was created as a by-product by their means of creating special scents for communication. The flapping of their wings are more of a habit, kinda like how humans move their arms when walking normally. The wing motion also generates the energy which serve as the catalyst for the creature's internal biological functions.

HellsRaven4444 Well there's the answer to a mystery that's been troubling me since SC1. Those must be some pretty tough carapaces to prevent their bodies from getting torn asunder by the g forces generated from reaching roughly mach 25 to escape a planet's gravity. It's probably a one way trip too, no clue how they're supposed to get down from space assuming they survived the mission. Maybe they secrete an ablative substance that defeats the friction of hitting an atmosphere at -once again- mach 25. Yeah I know it's a video game but its amazing the kind of questions that come up when you think about it for a little.

@SkanRashke You are right, they do not need to breath, in order to synthesise ATP or other forms of chemical energy. Anaerobic organisms on earth are able to metabolise without Oxygen, to some, Oxygen may even be toxic. I'm only curious about their exoskeleton, which apparently can isolate the pressure differences and kinetic potential forces from their internal organs. xD

When the zerg where still on Zerus, giant creatures called Behemoths flew past, the overmind tricked them and incorporated their dna in their zerg species, so that they could survive in vacuum. They are like enormous overlords.

Is the music on the soundtrack?

It's just a thought. But I'd love it if Tychus survived somehow. True the death makes for a story with more dept, but I just really liked having Tychus around. The final shoot at the end seemed too slow and hesitant

My head actually started to hurt whilst trying to figure out what that person had typed.

Only Raynor loves Kerrigan, but she is a different person now, and even after her rescue, she still attempts to get even more power, research more next time, and I didn't even mention the Protoss or the Xel'Naga yet :)
