Grow up? I'm 53 now - I've been collecting Pop Culture since I was 10 - the age I was when I saw Star Wars. I used to make vehicles and accessories for my Six Million Dollar Man out of cardboard boxes and straws & odds and ends. My Mom even knitted him outfits which I still have (She passed in 2017 God Bless Her - she took me to see Star Wars the very first time). I saw Star Wars in 1977 4 times but I mowed lawns and washed cars so I could afford the ticket entry. I still have school books form back in the day and I have X-Wings and Tie-Fighters in dogfights scrawled cover to cover! (LOL). I still have my scrapbook full of Newspaper and Magazine cuttings because that's the only way you learned anything about Star Wars back in the day (No Internet - that was Science Fiction!). Anyway, In my experience this hobby has kept me young and when I show my collection to others their eyes light up and the conversation flows easily - "Oh I remember that show.....!" I recently completed the DeAgostini R2-D2 and it's a wonderful piece. People who have seen it working gush about it. Never apologise for your hobbies no matter what they are. 56 and still collecting . I had a large star wars Collection lost it all in a house fire in 2006 . some of the stuff you got bring 's back some of my memories of what i had. i had to start form scratch. saw star wars in 1977 ben we me all my life, have a good i man thanks for the video

I've been a big Star Wars fan since 1977. Been called a nerd and all the usual names...but its what I love to enjoy collecting.

Love the fact your daughter is so happy to be there with you and happy to be in the video. So polite. Treasure that. What you have done in displaying this is awesome. Seeing collections in boxes gets tiring after a while. Amazing job

@@star.killer77-27 fun fact.. That death star playset has a variation.. It was released by the u.k company Palitoy as part of their Action Force line.. Obviously it has different images printed on the card stock but it IS exactly the same piece.. Palitoy released it as both variations.

A true museum for the star wars fanatic. This guy must have spent a real fortune to collect so much scale piece. A true trip to nostalgia.

The opening bit reminds me of Spaceballs. (In a good way) 😀 Dark Helmet: "Did you see anything?" Col. Sandurz: "No, sir! I didn't see you playing with your dolls again!"

I’m literally overwhelmed by your collection it’s nice to know there is collectors out there that are humble and cool like u cause I’m the same way. I’m a big 51 year old kid at heart like I said. I got back into collecting 10 years ago the only thing that bothers me the stores are not really heavy with Star Wars toys like it was when I was coming up . The generation now don’t play with action figures like we did sad but it is what it is . Star Wars is still cool to me my last big purchase of my collection was The Smugglers Run Millenium Falcon I love that piece got it back September of last year my daughter and I sometimes sit in the floor of my bedroom and play with it she loves it .And for the people who tell you grow up their ignorant and have no class . I’m a real Star Wars fan like yourself the toys is what I love mostly and the memories that I hold precious in my heart every one still have that kid in them and there is nothing wrong with that . People are so Mean in this world today And cruel. When I am around my Star Wars collection takes me to a place far , far away It keeps my mind off the crap that’s going in this world. Thank you for this sir! I've been collecting an assortment of things since I was a child. To be completely honest I always felt ashamed of my passion. As of late I threw that shame to the side and recontinued my collecting. Best of all my wife is joining in on the fun! You're collection is an INSPIRATION!!! We hope to meet you some day!!!!

DUDE, YOUR COLLECTION IS AMAZING!!! I LOVE IT!!! star wars was such a big part of my childhood! many many happy memories, some of my happiest to be honest! the original movie was the very first movie i saw in a movie theater as a kid with my friends! my parents even let us go in there by ourselves! we lived in a small town mind you, so it was very safe! that xmas, my father bought me several star wars figures, lukes landspeeder, and an x-wing fighter! i think he bought me all of the first 12! it is still one of my fondest memories, especially now that my father has passed away! the person telling you to grow up, doesn't get it and never will! he probably never even grew up with star wars! i remember playing with all my star wars toys all xmas morning for hours until i fell asleep by the tree! man just thinking about this memory has me teared up! REST IN PEACE DAD, I MISS YOU SO MUCH!!!

Best part for me was to see how keen your daughter was to be involved with your interests, spending time with Dad, coolness maximus. Also the sight of your wall to wall figures was amazing, I only have one star wars collection on my budget, the Hot Wheels starship line, always been a fan of the ships, so hard to get here in NZ though.

This is incredible!

It was great to see the “behind the scenes” footage of the Star Wars Celebration flights. My wife and I witnessed the indoor flight and the outdoor Boba Fett flight. Before that, during the Rose Parade, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I first saw the amazing “Rocketman,” Dan Schlund!

Dear Mike, I am so glad there are people like you, along with a community of incredible artists working hard to achieve so much like this. Some of my thought range is,- this is the Skywalker ranch back up facility. I think there is so much heart and many stories behind this, some bitter some sweet. In essence, to me this represents some amazing people, their energy, time and personality poured into it. My wish is that it creates doors of opportunity for you and that this in itself is preserved, maybe even replicated with the commensurate respect it richly deserves. In an ideal world, I would want to meet you and some of your acquaintances just for the pure enthusiastic spirit which is surely contagious. I'd probably just be reduced to silence most of the time and how long it would take to soak it all in really represents many lifetimes considering all the involvement. What the destination of all this is, be it a museum, more videos, podcasts or even branching into movies who knows? The sky is the limit. Wishing you the very best in the life ahead. R2D2 was my first action figure to. I remember my mom had tejped it onto our kitchen lampshed and it turned around itself revealing the little figure ontop of it. was along time since I thought of that moment...still puts a smile on my face. Thx for a really nice tour of a great collection.

Very Awesome. Have been a fan since 77 . I have a very Awesome piece. Darth Vader life size bust from Sideshow. Me and My Son got to meet Dave Prowse back in 09 at the Atrox Fright factory here in Leeds ,Alabama. I'm a Disabled Marine. This past June I had Triple Bypasse surgery. When I got home, my incision got infected really bad and I had to have two more surgeries done on my chest. I'm 55 . Thank you so much for sharing this.

Very cool. Man the Theory dude got even more famous when he cried during that very scene. Did you see that when Pablo H. from Lucasfilm made fun of him? That was crazy However I know what you mean. These newer age generation films completely disrespected Luke. Those films don't exist in my world.

I make models, props, and costumes and have for over 35 years. I'm in the process of making the master for the four foot X - Wing Fighter from Return Of The Jedi. This will be something that I hope to have finished by the end of this year if not sooner. Also I paint the ILM way - without chalks, oil washes or any of that silly shit that most of these modelers today use for weathering but are impractical. The original ILM guys back in the day painted with PAINT! This is an old school method that sadly a lot of people today don't know. I only wonder why they haven't passed this skill on to others through the years but everyone that I knew back in the day did. I only wonder what you do for a living - there must be at least $100,000.00 worth of memorabilia in the one room alone! Hell it's about a third of the size of my mothers house! I too know Mike Salzo and some of the others on the modeling forums. Maybe one day I'll go to one of the comic con nerd fests if I get enough stuff built to take with me and hopefully enough money to transport it all. Thank you for sharing this with the rest of us. This is the stuff that dreams are made of - they were my dreams for over 40 + years of my life! May the farce be with you - always......
