@@averydee5328 Darth maul got cut in half, thrown down a pit, survivied on an acidic trash planet with fire breathing mechs off of only rats and hatred for about 10 years, and came back entirely because he was, and i quote, "too pissed off to die" Palpatine cloned himself, and sent his essence into the clone, this is something that was in the books, and its being set up and established in the mandalorian and in the bad batch. no body, no death.

​@@hyphil1354 Thats not a quote, "The Books" were released after TROS, never explained in the film, Darth Maul returning in the clone wars made it self evident of how he survived, he was an alien for all I knew he should be able to survive being cut in half, why not. Learning that he used his hatred via the dark side to survive was just extra pudding. If you like Palpatine being in the TROS then that's good for you.

Palpatine is perhaps one of the smartest characters in Star Wars Between knowing politics to manipulation with everyone to having such a secretive way about him to having so much power in the dark side

Palpatine is one of those characters where he manipulates and pulls the strings from the shadows. But, if he's in a situation where straight up combat is required, he can totally handle that too.

@@lenseofficial his specialty is manipulation, and it seems to be what he prefers. But he absolutely is very formidable in a fight. Only the very best have any chance of holding their own against him.

Showing the intelligence of Palpatine is always so cool

This is what makes Palpatine the pinnacle of villainy in my opinion. He’s a master manipulator, a man with almost perfect plans. And he can throw down if the need comes.

The Way He twists events that are against Him In His Favor just shows how Amazingly Skilled He is At Politics. This Scene was Absolutely Incredible. PALPATINE IS THE GOAT!!!!!!

I got chills when I saw him, and was so happy to hear it was Ian Mcdiarmid playing his role again As much as I hate Rise of Skywalker, I am still glad to see Ian is getting more chances to play Lord Sodius in prequel era stuff I hope this show later on will also reintroduce Darth Maul or Vader in later episodes, since they are also my favorite characters

I mean, he is the senate. He was only really arguing with himself here. Its always a treat when we get Ian back as Palpatine though. A true legend.

I sort of hope we don't Andor is sort of it's own thing where they all just have to deal with Imperial Bereau officers, much as I enjoy watching Ian, I think it is more likely we will see Moff Gideon or Tarkin in the show

@@darthahsoka3518(I know this is late but whatever). I disagree. Tarkin, especially Gideon, are way to high up in the chain of command to concern themselves with anything regarding Andor. We see that Cassian is more of a spy/infiltrator in Rogue One, and we can assume that leading up to that point, he's maintained the same level of anonymity. I can't see a Moff or Grand Moff getting involved with that. Palpatine, however, makes perfect sense. Mothma is still a senator, and she has referenced him multiple times before. I think we could possibly get an appearance similar to this one in the Bad Batch, where he comes in for a cameo to talk about a bill or a terrorist (rebel) attack, etc...

Did Palpatine name the Storm Trooper in memoriam to Kamino? Due to the planet constantly being under storms? That’d be poetically cruel

I love these scenes that show just how out of their depth most people are when a Sith Lord shows up. Let alone a Sith in charge of a whole ass empire.

Yeah, Trump has that Palpatine vibe. He stirs things up in 2016 and won and nobody saw that coming. Forever I will remember the tags Lying Ted, Low Energy Bush, Sleepy Joe, Crooked Hilary. It would be hilarious if a Republican candidate call Trump…Treason Trump. But they won’t do that.
