I think a little flight stand would have been preferred to the helmets, especially as they included the jet pack rocket effects.

TVC has come along way... so close to perfection. Love all this new articulation. New hips, upper leg joints, wrists and most of all rocker ankles. Now we just need that swivel rangefinder on a Boba Fett then it will be.... complete.

If everyone would just recycle plastic we wouldn't have an issue. Take the bubble you open the package and recycle it. There's no way that has broken get to the point that they are plastic free because the figure themselves are plastic, so this plastic free is an illusion. Great review thanks Tim.

The figures are rarely thrown away. Only carded collectors keep the bubbles.

Just got my bad batch 4 pack and Rex’s helmets mouthpiece is missing half the paint it sucks

The packaging aside that figure is stunning. From the articulation, removable helmet and the paint job it looks so good. I hope you get a carded version also though.

Great review as always. I got back into collecting a lot because of the TVC card and nostalgia of looking like my original figures from the late 70’s. If they go to this style packaging for the majority of TVC, I’d probably hold off on 3.75” figures. Thanks again for doing what you do!! 🤙🏼

Just got him and I love the figure. My main problem is the removable helmet. At that price they should have included a completely separate head sculpt like they did with Bo Katan and Fenic. That’s so much better.

Great review Tim! Such a awesome looking figure, Hasbro has really been knocking it out of the park lately. On the downside, I am not sure if this figure is worth the new price point for deluxe TVC figures. I think it could have came with a few more accessories for almost $30.

Looks awesome can't wait. Nice review, normally the range finder doesn't both me but using the rocket is the time he uses it! I will use the flame effects on my ROTJ Boba flying towards the skiff.

He looks great Tim! I want that figure. I am okay with the way the packaging is going since I am an opener but I appreciate your passion for the card backs/plastic bubble.

Really appreciate your reviews and honesty. I also am not a real fan of this type of packaging. First I worry about not being able to see any qc issues. While I love the classic design it's big concern for me. I do feel this figure is not worthy of a deluxe option and the stormtrooper helmets aren't needed. But I totally agree the figure is absolutely stunning and I cannot wait for it.

I love these little boxed up figures, hoping to get Ashoka.

The bubble should definitely stay, not that they're in many stores but being able to choose the one with best face would be impossible without the bubble showing them

This shows how far technology has come. The TVC now is basically Black series scaled down. Look at the Throne room set, absolutely brilliant playset, and not to mention the Fat Bib Fortuna which came with it, another brilliant figure as well.

Great review Bossk, and the figure does look fantastic! I'm not a carded collector really, but it is a bit strange that the reason people didn't like the "wide carded" deluxe figure packs was that it wouldn't fit into a STAR case and Hasbro goes and designs a box/card hybrid that (zero plastic aside) also won't fit into a STAR cases... That is quite the oversight. I wonder if they designed/ordered the boxes before the whole "wide card" issue or if they really just weren't paying attention?

Love your channel so much! I can't wait to get off work everyday to see another vid and reveals. I gotta say, if they take the bubble off, that'll be the end of most of my collecting. The deluxe packs do look great though! Im totally cool with doing this for deluxe figures only. But, if it goes across the board, I may give up on TVC. It's the nostalgia of being like the VINTAGE toys we had during the OT! Yes, the figures are beautiful, but hidden behind a cardboard image. They really couldn't call it TVC anymore, but maybe call it the Gen Z collection.

i have really really been enjoying this figure a lot more than i hoped! my one complaint is that it doesn't come with a gaffi stick, which i'd thought would be an excellent inclusion, but i'm otherwise extremely glad to have it in my boba collection!

Sweet!! Though the price is still a point of grrr for me!! Hahaha!! Deluxe should come with something more!! A speeder bike ,the little Tusken that he saved from the Harryhausen like creature or Bantha would make it worth the price!! I love it overall though!! Blessings!! :)

Not my favourite version but the figure does look good. I question this as a deluxe figure. At least make the rocket firing effect longer so you can display him with the rocket firing out of his jet pack. If he came with a flight stand those jetback accessories would make sense.

Rewatching your review still waiting on mine. It would be awesome if they released him on the bubble card minus stormtrooper helmets, but have a swappable head so the helmet's scope senor can move.

I probably won't quit collecting the figures if they do away with the bubble but I won't be buying at least two of each. The new boxes I've only ordered one of each. Thank you for the review BB!

Nice review. I'm very impressed with this figure, despite paying extra for it. Is there any way to push the blaster into the holster more than that? Official images of the figure show that the blaster is most of the way in the holster.

Incredible looking figure! Possibly better than Bo Katan! Really amazing looking but I do not like these deluxe boxes or prices, so I still refuse to buy it unless it comes out on a numbered bubble cardback, without the accessories and hefty price tag. I really hope Hasbro are not buttering us up for zero plastic by 2023. If the bubble goes, I go, it's as simple as that for me. Thanks Tim 👍🏼

Great review and love the level of detail you have shown. VC figures really are beating Black Series right now and I am traditionally a BS collector but came back to VC in 2020. Its a shame on the price but that is only going up this year I'm afraid.

Agreed about the classic Kenner cardbacks! They could lose the inner plastic but at least keep the bubble!

One thing I'd add is that this format let's them kick a lot of the legal gunf from the back of the card to the bottom of the box

The helmet looks just like the show!! Excellent review Tim. Great looking figure with an ugly box with a good photo.

Not just the paint on the mouth that's misaligned. The red trim bordering the 'T' visor is horribly misaligned on not only the right side, but along the top edge, where it's been applied too high up. Really poor QC for a deluxe, and proof that blind-boxed figures are not the way to go.

Great review! I'm assuming the range finder articulation wasn't possible with the more flexible plastic. Must've been tooe expensive to give it a notch and then a plug in harder plastic range finder. Can a blast effect be used on the barrel of the rifle?

I agree, I like the deluxe package but if this was the new vintage style packaging I would definitely stop collecting the line, for me it's all about the packaging.

And it happened. Found my figure with glue overlowing and staining a chunk of his right arm in dried-up white residue and by the biggest glue buildup was fuel tubing tearing off from the bracer. Shop clerk diplomatically told me to screw off when I brought it back asking for replacement. Not only never buying there again ,I am considering not buying anymore vintage collection. If they charge 30 quid for this they really should have better standards for quality control. I am not happy not being able to see figures through bubbles.

Great review Tim! Figure looks great, although I wish the helmet and heads were swappable like Bo Katan. Really wanted the Morak version more, but missed the pre order so ordered this one. Not sure how I feel about the packaging. Seems odd to pack him in cardboard and accessories in wax paper. I'm with you, I certainly hope this does not become the standard packaging for TVC. I buy at least 2 of each figures (pre-orders from BBTS sand EE), and sometimes up to 7 or 8 when it comes to the new ARC troopers (Hasbro can keep the shitty skinny leg, disproportionate, oblong, Reed Richards-looking Clone Troopers). It's like Hasbro will not quit until they have driven every paying customer off! I've stopped collecting The Black Series because of the exclusives that sell out in minutes (which equates to WM and Target getting people into stores to buy items they don't need). Marvel Legends died with the MCU. RIP Hasbro :(

Looks like an amazing figure. I do have to say though that the storm trooper helmets don’t make much sense if it is from the book of Boba Fett.

I guess the best option for a display case would be a Black Series display case. I only collect carded Boba Fett figures so I kinda wish it would fit, but well...

I live in America and preordered mine through gamestop along with fennec and corvus ahsoka. They still haven't arrived. Should I consider canceling and ordering somewhere else? I'm new to collecting and would like to know where and how I should get new TVC figures. I hear Dengar is supposed to be coming at some point and I don't want to miss him.

@@BossksBounty unfortunately thats often the case, either they don't hold it great or the gun is that weak it just doesn't sit very well, and you've got the perfect realization of a character, holding a gun with a big bend in it

The Stormtrooper helmets are a bit of a head scratcher. It’s Tython Fett who battles the Stormtroopers not Tatooine Fett (which had different pants/trousers and is coming out via Target Exclusive in the U.S.

Am so glad that I have stopped collecting because I was getting frustrated with hasbro so that’s why I decided to stop and of the prices as well so I did the right thing and Of couse I am not that type of person who doesn’t want to keep on collecting for ever because when you are an adult you suppose to glow up and end of the day they are just toys

Agreed Tim.... would hate them being the norm. I kinda like the aspect of using these as openers. (Exhibit A being that Stormie) I'm best explaining more about that in a vid of my own. There’s one thing i don’t quite get. Hasbro is going to go full 0% plastic by the end of 2022, so i was wondering if every collector that say that they love the vintage kenner packaging are going to stop collecting right there ? I get the love for the classic look, but there’s nothing you can do against change and if they’re going to remove plastic from their packaging they are going to do it!

Yes but TVC is a special case in that the packaging IS the the product for many people. It is this fact that I believe TVC will be exempt.

I believe they announced TVC was going to remain on cardbacks and something else that I can't remember. But Marvel Legends & 6" black series will no longer have plastic. I could be wrong.
