I just picked this same shuttle (complete with the same box) from eBay. I had always wanted one ever since I was a kid when I first saw a childhood friend had one back around 1985. Still, even while I find it weird that you can't pose the Emperor as if he was descending down the ramp, I am still very thrilled to finally have one.

The cargo hold of the shuttle needs to be remade as well.

As an owner of the Galoob series one..I forgot how big this ship is..an amazing ship and would love to own one but as usual..no space..cheers for the look🍺🍺🍻

Yeah I know the feeling, I'm trying to keep the whole collection in the one room and I'm rapidly running out of space, but at the price it was going for I just had to pick it up.

Only started collecting vehicles again recently (after selling my old ones years ago at bootsales, woops!). Managed to get this on eBay for 250 quid in mint condition with box, lot of money but I assume will only increase in value. Taking pride of place on top of my new display cabinet

I love this! I love the shuttle!! I love the scene where it lands on the platform on Endor and Vader walks out :-)

This is one of my favourites! We've got this bad boy on display with a Mini Rig version on either side. I shudder when l think of a re-release price.,but we'd still pick one up!!! Cheers Nick

That would make a great display, I remember having one of those Mini Rigs as a kid. A re-release would have to be $400 or more I reckon, but I'd probably pick one up too.

Beautiful looking ship Nick,one of my favourite Imperial designs, so sleek. I'm still on the mend after my accident and still have a lot of presents, figures and Hot Toys that i got over the festive period to open including a Hot Toys Quarter Scale,Darth Vader from Return Of The Jedi,which is killing me not being able to play with😩! But once i have had my operation on my leg i will be back up and running and back on Instagram to share some new photos.Awesome pick up and review my friend😎

they need to release the imperial shuttle for the vintage collection with updated features and paint apps!! especially with the new emperor coming out and the royal guards were just rerelease to.

Yeah this vehicle needs a facelift for sure but I hate to think what retail would be these days....

So awesome! Great find! I don't think I ever ran across this version of the shuttle. I've seen the other releases and I know how massive it is, but I never really been hands on with it before. Such a great toy from Kenner. It would be nice if Hasbro gave us an updated version of this for TVC, but I doubt they will ever do anything this big again. Then again, this would make a perfect item for Return of the Jedi 40th Anniversary in a few years. Great video review Nick!

Thanks Dave. Until i picked this up I'd never seen one in hand before and despite the problems I have with the some of the paint it's fantastic, and with the wings deployed it's bloody huge!. Your idea about a re-issue for the 40th anniversary of Jedi is a great idea, especially if they touch up the paint and redo the electronics, it would cost an absolute fortune but would be brilliant!

Hey, great review, I have this to and it really is an impressive ship, a big old hunk of plastic, very cool, maybe they will rerelease it, only needs the footpegs in the hold updating as they are still sized for the vintage figures, and maybe add the electronics back

I paid $200 for this from FAO Schwarz about 20 yrs ago. Then 5 yrs later it was a Target exclusive and it came with 2 figures for $50.

I happen to own the Saga collection Target exclusive shuttle, definitely a great piece!( By the way it eas 60 us dollars)

I'm glad to say that there was no sticker sheet, all were pre-applied.

what do the buttons do?

I got 2 of the FAO and 1 re-release. 1 is opened, I wonder wot these go for now.

Depends where you are I guess, but I daresay you'd get some decent coin if you decided to sell them, I can't see Hasbro re releasing/redoing this anytime soon.

The 2002 model like this sells for about $300-400 new in box on eBay, according to completed sold listings. Loose ones go for almost as much too.
