Yes, that bird definitely was Morai, the avatar of the Daughter who has been Ahsoka's familiar since the Mortis arc.

As far as I remember, by the time the Empire was created only a hand full of people knew Ahsoka was once Anakin's Padawan and that she survived Order 66. Fewer still knew Anakin's actual role in the Jedi Purge and that he became Vader. By the time The Mandalorian takes place Ahsoka is basically a relic from a forgotton era. If she was recognized by anyone it'd be because of her lightsabers and "magic powers". I can only think of one person who is still alive that knows Ahsoka was trained by Vader before he fell to the dark side. Can't say who due to spoilers😅

This joy of a kid when seeing Ahsoka for the first time in real-life action. It was a special moment when this episode was released. ^^

The casting of Rosario is SO PERFECT. In that cold open when she was in the forest you see shades of Anakin in her movement. Yes this is how Morgan met Ahsoka and was captured. And yes the bird in the trees was the Convor Morai. And yes, his name is Grogu. The noise Grogu makes when he hears his name is ADORABLE

See i find that Rosario, while a great actress, is a poor fit for live Action Ahsoka. She seemed too Emotionless and Expressionless

I can Finally say Grogu and not spoil anything for you! and yes, ain't he so cute!? Yes, this was the first mention of Trawn in live action and it blew our collective minds. Up until this point, all we knew was that Thrawn vanshed alongside Ezra before the fall of the Empire, it was tantalizing getting the hint that Ahsoka was looking for him at this point in time.

Yeah a while ago when you asked if there were spoilers for the Ahsoka series in the Mandalorian most of us wanted to mention this episode but had to keep our mouths shut at the same time ahaha, ah it's no big deal anyway pretty neat seeing Morgan first appear here after you were introduced to her in Ahsoka I bet lol and how asking her about Thrawn Kinda set it all up Bo Katan described this place as a forest moon so you can see what she's turned it into over the years

I remember when this came out. I was like, "Grogu? What a terrible name." About ten seconds later it was, "Grogu! What a cute name. It fits him perfectly." 😉

Tython is a very, very important planet to Old school SW fans. The world is featured heavily in the Knights of the old republic games and it’s tangential materials set some 4000 years BBY. Tython was the birthplace of the modern Jedi order. When the first pilgrims reached the planet some 36,000 years Before the Battle of Yavin.

This episode was, for me, a culmination of all the facts in the theory of who Grogu crossed paths with. Let's summarize the current facts: - Grogu feels fear, is vulnerable to the dark side, and seems lost. - Grogu knows Force Heal. - Grogu remembers Order 66; someone saved him. - Grogu's memories after Order 66 are dark, making it challenging for Ahsoka to understand his past. So, in summary: We are likely talking about a Jedi who strayed from the path, perhaps partially using the dark side, or a potential capture by the Empire. The element of fear is crucial here. Even if Ahsoka was unable to reveal much about what happened after Order 66, it is likely due to the trauma and an attempt to cut ties with the past. However, Force Heal also works on the mind. What if the Dark Jedi decided to help Grogu forget about his past? Another possibility is that Ahsoka is simply an asshole and didn't tell us. As I watched this, I already had a candidate because, as I mentioned before, Grogu bears striking similarities to another character. The subsequent evidence only strengthened my theory. However, there's one problem with my theory: during Order 66, this character certainly wasn't in the Jedi Temple. Hence, I said, "who Grogu crossed paths with" instead of "Who saved him." Plus Filoni said he had plans for this character. So we can talk about 2 characters here, 1 saved Grogu and the other potentially joined later. However, it must be remembered that Filoni is a troll. Sorry, but during the Rebels premiere he wore a T-shirt with the words "Ahsoka lives?" and next day "Ahsoka lives!" He then gave fans some crazy pictures to guess what happened to Ahsoka. No one could have predicted world between worlds.

The fear is understandable since he has been hunted since Order 66 and he was afraid to show his abilities out of that fear! I am sure some explained to him to keep his powers hidden to keep him safe. Chapter 20 is another example of him being reluctant to show his powers until Mando confirmed it was ok to do so.

We also learn Baby Yoda's name...Grogu. It was so hard trying not to spoil that before this episode. LOL! And we also get a Grand Admiral Thrawn mention. Looking forward to your next reaction. 😊

When Ahsoka referended Anakin, I could hear her sadness and shakiness in her voice. That clearly still haunts her to this day. Thankfully in the Ahsoka show she grew past that and realized living that way is only holding her back. Kind of sad how Morgan's people, the nightsisters, were massacred, but what she did after is just wrong. 2:54 how did I not realize that was Morai?

In the novel, Ahsoka had nothing to do with the Jedi temple. Just like in the clone wars season seven. However, in the novel she was on Mandalore fighting Mail when Oder 66 happened. The last Ahsoka episode in Tales of the Jedi, abridges the novel quite a bit. During her journey, she discovered a small force sensitive girl but left her on her with her family. The inquisitor hunting the former Jedi, detected the child, but was more interested in Ahsoka. But I like the tales episode the village wasn’t betrayed by anyone. The Empire simply tracked Asoka down. Asoka was able to kill the inquisitive with her bare hands during the attack, but unlike in the episode where she calls upon her allies bail organa to come and pick up some people, the novel has a flat out air battle above the city streets, strafing in the living crap out of the empires occupation force. During the battle battle, Bail’s arrived to pick up all the villagers. During the voyage after she explained how she purged the dead inquisitor’s Lightsaber crystals white Asoka decides to join Bail’s Rebellion as an intelligence/ recruiting agent codenamed: Fulcrum.

10:01 if you've ever seen Tombstone that is Johnny Ringo the one Doc Holiday fought at the end of the movie the "I'm your huckleberry" scene, same actor Michael Beihn. So it was awesome that they did a whole old school western showdown type scene here.

Love that this episode wasted no time introducing Ahsoka. They could have dragged it out so it was an awesome choice to have her front and center for this episode. And we finally learn Grogu’s name! We got to hear Yoda’s theme, and I liked their take on Ahsoka’s theme too.

If the complete season would have been out, i could never wait 2 weeks to watch the next episode at at point of the story, because I want to know how the story is going on. In a way Grogu will always be "Baby Yoda" for me, but we are probably never getting to know what other names were on the table for him...

If you read the novel that came out in the last few years that you mentioned it is canon as all of what has come out for star wars since Disney bought it so far is canon but hopefully some of it like the sequels will be changed from that soon.

  • @rnkelly36
    @rnkelly365 ай бұрын

The hardest thing some of us sci fi/fantasy people are having with Star Wars is that we really need to give up the idea of cannon in the shows and series. Star Wars is just not a coherent story and really just made up along the way.
