Not to be mean but John Williams being brilliant is severely underrated of a statement in my opinion because there is really no words to describe how musically talented this guy is and he still does it at I think like 80 years old which is beyond brilliant he probably can retire easily but he stays dedicated to his music and that’s something I really respect more then anything that’s commitment to your fans and your job at it’s finest

Artemius I’m not gonna lie I just realized how depressing it is to think about it that way. Luke, though in a dark turn of events, was able to get his wish of leaving behind his same boring life for something new and exciting, but for most of us, we’re stuck feeling like he did gazing upon the suns. There’s no princess to rescue, no Death Star for us to blow up, nothing like that. We’re stuck here on our Tatooine, for basically ever. All we have is our Binary Sunsets on our Tatooine.

That's the sign of music doing it's job well. Audio, I'd argue is among the senses closest connected to a person's emotions, so any music piece worth it's salt should be able to ellicit an emotional response from the listener. Usually that chill comes when your mind becomes stimulated, but lacks a physical outlet. Something epic, inspiring and moving that wants you to just stand up and release your passion, but when you don't let it, it just sends an anxious surge through your body. Doesn't happen much with me, because I usually let the flow of the music take me, as my arms begin conduncting it.

+Andre De Jesus The only one so far that Mr. Williams is not composing is Rogue One which comes out next year. That one will be composed by the remarkable Alexandre Desplat: composer of Deathly Hallows pt. 1 & 2, Tree of Life, etc. I have high hopes for him and his composition... Williams WILL indeed continue to compose for the MAIN trilogy, with Ep. VIII making the kessle-run in less than 14 (erm, excuse me.. "12") parcecs Spring of 2017.. Cant we just speed up time, and teleport off this rock already ?!

This is helping me to go through a tough moment in life and here I am crying and throwing up in the bathroom but listening to this makes me realize it’s just part of the journey and there’s a better and more balanced version of me waiting to come out.

The benchmark of an age not yet corrupted. An age where young heroes actually have to work for their success, to go through losses and tribulations to become the shining beacon of men.

I can't be the only one ready to declare this the greatest musical piece in movie history. And that's no small feat.

SPOILERS When Rey went to meet Luke and she handed out the lightsaber and this started to play... Best scene in Star Wars history. EDIT: One of the best

I want this played at funeral. I would often play this while staring out my window whereever I lived, contemplating my life, my future. I was always a dreamer. If I leave anything behind in this world, I want people to hear music like this and know that anything is possible, as long as you believe.

Funny story, when A New Hope came out, I had gone to the cinema to see it, but we were late, even then our timing was perfect, as Luke stood on the dunes of Tatooine, the red suns blazing above, and Binary Sunset played, I was sold then and there

For some reason, I feel like the new episodes are going to suck more than the prequels. Really, they should stop adding episodes to Star Wars. The story started when Luke Skywalker was born, and ended when Darth Vader died, stop adding other episodes and disappointing fans...

Nekomancer1983 both of which, along with the Jaws theme somebody mentioned above, were also composed by John Williams. The man has composed some of the most iconic movie soundtracks of all time; close encounters and ET are up there too, and for younger audiences, the original score for Harry Potter.

This brings back childhood memories of playing Lego Star Wars on the Wii, slinging light sabers, and watching all the movies with my buddies before we went our separate ways...

Omg... This song makes me so emotional... It makes me think about the scene when it was Obi-Wan vs Anakin and it's so fucking sad!!! I watched that scene multiple times yesterday and I literally cried everytime!!! They're like: Obi-Wan:"You were the chosen one! It was said that you would destroy the sith, not join them!" Obi-Wan:"You would bring balance to the force! Not leave it in darkness!" Anakin:"I HATE YOU!" Obi-Wan:"You were my brother Anakin... I loved you...💔" I literally cried while writing this!😭😭😭It's so freking sad!!!

Goosebumps...every time and a yearning to be a part of it.....damn right in the feels.....

The one that always gets me is when Luke runs outside to watch the suns set.. the theme begins with that single, mournful melody on the horn and then it just swells, carrying us along with it... I wish I could somehow describe what it felt like seeing and hearing it in a big theatre back in the late 70s.
