George Lucas actually told John Williams during the creation of Duel of the Fates that he intended for the theme to come full circle in Episode 3. Pretty cool

Revenge of the Sith has the best score of the whole franchise. The sequel has good themes, but this ONE movie has by itself more iconic tracks than any other. No wonder SWTOR uses mainly the soundtrack from this chapter !

I love the haunting voices in the background from 0:14-0:21. Gives the vibe to me that all the souls slaughtered during the Jedi Purge are crying out in agony... or, maybe that their screams as they were slaughtered clouds Anakin's consciousness... a horrid sound he can't strike from his memory, no matter how hard he tries.

Even I, a native German, had to listen to that sequence twice to actually identify it. But the voices are iconic and pretty recognizable. ^^

The best theme and the best lightsaber duel, I know Yoda vs Palpatine is happening at the same time and I wouldn’t say that one is as good but it certainly is special, the two masters and possibly the two strongest beings are facing off against each other.

Also, the characters suck balls (except Kylo Ren, that’s it), the villains are terrible, the story is a mess, there’s still plot holes and unfinished arcs, and bringing back Palpatine basically destroys Anakin’s character arc :P

8:52 Why was this part not part of the official soundtrack I will never know. Carries great weight as Anakin and Obi-wan locks heads in front of an erupting geyser of lava.

I think what the prequels and originals had that the sequels never had was real emotional weight, father vs son, padawan vs master, friend vs friend, all the fights were deeply personal and are between people who shouldnt be fighting, the sequels just dont have the impact that the others do, the most emotion we got out of them was solos death, a real shocking and unexpected death, luke and leia just kinda lay down and go welp, time to die i guess, the story is all over the place and badly planned, they set up so many things and forget about them, they didnt spend enough time building on the characters they had, and just started craming the films with unessasary characters who serve no purpose, disney really didnt know what to do with star wars

Bro 12:43 gives me goosebumps everytime whenever the choir rises louder and louder I just think of Anakin staring down his old master. And then at 12:56 the transition and it's fucking amazing. Honestly ROTS has the best soundtrack.

The noise of mustafar raging in the background makes the start of this so much better

We need this kind of music in the new trilogy... at least on episode 9. Please bring back the SW magic.
