Even though Jar Jar is very silly, I think he's super friendly. Overall the character is fun. The actor is nice too.

The message I get from a character like Jar Jar in Star Wars is that heroism and the key to success come from every walk of life and least where you expect it. Jar Jar is clumsy, silly, and even annoying at times. Obi-wan calls him a pathetic life form. However, Jar Jar was able to convince Padme to rely on the Gungans; that she had a neighbor that should could trust as long as she's able to put them at her own level. Jar Jar would grow up a bit and even have a successful career as a diplomat for his people. No one would expect this sort of character to be this important, but Qui-gon certainly sensed it. That's why he's in Star Wars.

I will say this, regardless of my feelings on Jar-Jar, the motion capture technology created for this film changed the landscape of storytelling and film. Jar-Jar was the first fully CGI rendered character which paved the way for films such as Lord of the Rings (Gollum), Avatar, and many more.

An overlooked movie that has the first digital character is Draco from Dragonheart, don't know why that movie is never talked about.. Be blessed,saved all in Jesus shalom
