Also Love the subtle nod to history and ironic mocking with Palpatine wielding a Purple lightsaber, as if he were continuing to give windu the proverbial middle finger for his failure to kill Palpatine. LOL

In the comic and most artwork it’s a blue lightsaber that he picks up from a rack that has three on it. There’s a fan theory he used Agen Kolar’s lightsaber and the other two belonged to Kit Fisto and Saesee Tiin. So the same idea but with the first Jedi Master he was allowed to openly kill in combat as a Sith Lord. Dark Empire is really cool especially with recontextualiztions of the prequels. It even managed to not undo Anakin’s sacrifice because the point of it was to show Luke that even he was capable of redemption.

This is exceptional and this embodies how a young palpatine was from accounts of Darth Pleigus. Palpatine loved form 7 Juyo but loved Ataru heart filled beyond compare combined..this shows..this is what he taught maul

@@ryoga_ darn near lost my mind out how great this is. How Palpatine had to change his insane wild ways because he got older. Seeing him about Luke's age aka 33 during this duel shows Palpatine wild side in his Youth.

I truely believe 20 years from now that THIS is how star wars will be reborn, as a virile, powerful old school anime series, all the mistakes and nonsense of abrahms, Kennedy, and the plague rat erased and everything started from scratch... cause sooner or later disney will begin imploding and succumb to financial destitution from having grown to large, strayed to far from their core property and their gonna sell off their acquired IP's as their now liabilities.... star wars is just such a property. Hell lucus might even by it back or my holy grail wet dream studio ghibli.

I think so too BROT! Many stories from what is now considered "Star Wars - Legends" are significantly more interesting than the scripts currently being written for Disney's "Star Wars." The characters in LEGENDS are generally more consistent and the plots make much more sense. If you like this video, please share it!

What people don't realize that this luke Skywalker is far more powerful than the luke Skywalker that vader faced in return of the jedi, this luke Skywalker is more knowledged skilled with force the lightsaber and wiser, he also learn alot about the dark side, but this papaltine reborn version is like a trillion times far more powerful than return of the jedi emperor papaltine, dark empire papaltine reborn is considered a black hole in the force he is a dark side entity, but he could only used a fraction of his power because none of the clone bodies could handle his full might, this why he wanted to possess anakin solo body the boy had as much potential as anakin Skywalker

why does Palpatine have a purple lightsaber? like what does it mean "in universe?" I know why Mace had one, he can use the dark side and not be tempted and it was Samuel Jackson's favorite color. but why the emperor cuz I'm sure that Lucas didn't come up with the meaning of the saber colors yet
