The problem with Battlefront to develop the game today, it would take 6 years each era should have its own heroes, guns, vehicles, planets and ships to do that fully justice will take years. So I would rather multiple star wars shooters, One in each Era. One game focused on the Original trilogy era. One during the clone wars. Focused on DLC that expand on that era only. its like doing a COD game which is multiple eras. it wouldnt make sense. years of development gone to waste.

The OG Battlefront is what I grew up playing with my sister on LAN fights. Long Live the 501St!

A helldivers 2 style, PvE game would be so cool. Like being a squad of clones against endless waves of droids, tanks & geonosians on Geonosis, playing as the wookies and defending their homeworld against the seps on Kashyyyk, a team of Jedi against the 501st at the Temple on Coruscant, or full 'Super Earth' mode and squashing rebellions, spreading peace, freedom, justice and security with the Galactic Empire.

@@keso665 The maps were amazing, they completely nailed the atmospheres, and environments in that game. Hoth, Endor, and Sullust were on a completely different level compared to BF2

I think battlefront 2 sold less copies was, like you said, the lootbox controversy, but also, it came out in 2017, the same year The Last Jedi hit theaters, which completely sundered the star wars fandom. Even now the star wars community is a shell of its former self and a lot of people are craving the older star wars experiences from over a decade ago

No this is absolutely massive. I sunk hundreds of hours in Battlefront 2 on the ps2. With friends and even solo it was an absolute blast. I remember playing it so much. It was one of my favorite games. I think I put nearly as much time into this game as I did GTA san andreas, which says a lot because I spent everyday after school playing San Andreas. For them to bring it back especially on PC is such a gamechanger for me. I'm excited AF!

The IDEAL❤ version of SW Battlefront should have: 1. Galactic Conquest 2. Remake of maps from SWBF 1&2, some from SWBF 1&2 new 3.Powerups 4. Teamdeath match, Ground Battles with spaceships on planets, full scale battles Ground/Space like in Elite Squadron. 5. Space battles with boarding HQ star destroyers 6. Some Survival mode like in SWBF 1(new) 7. Customisation like in Elite Squadron and SWBF1(new) 8. Aaaand of course Alliance vs Villiance vs Heroes 9. Frostbite or UE5 10. All Eras and TV series/animations What did I miss? 😊😅

I'd love to see a new version of the classic battlefront 1 where everyone just plays as a trooper and no one plays as heroes/jedi. It was really cool to have everyone on an even playing field and required a lot more teamwork and communication.

I will never forget me and my buddy beating Hoth as the rebels in swb1 in 1 min 28 seconds. Thoes were some awesome games.

How? The AT-ATs respawn as spawn points, don't they? I guess with the one command post and then very quickly taking down the AT-ATs... I see it now. They wouldn't respawn within the 10secs of not having a command post.

@@cooliusmaximus5802 yeah we were surprised too. We were only able to do it cuz we got the speeders (forget the name right now) landed at each cap point then took down the walkers first try with the toe cable. Then they could not spawn and we won hahahaha. Could not believe it.

I will never lose hope for battlefront 3. Just imagine the huge battles with ground to space and lots of destruction. It is difficult to remain patient. We probably will have to wait 50 years. But I will wait. And I will always play battlefront.

Just give us a Battlefield game skinned in Star Wars. That's what Battlefront should have been.

I still say the best star wars multiplayer experience is Galactic Contention mod for Squad. The engine may not have the polish of frostbite and it looks a bit dated, but it's one of the best free community mods I've ever seen.

I've played it multiple times and it's too much of a janky walking simulator. I still had a few cool moments though but I was mostly bored

A clone wars version of Planetside 2 is my dream Star Wars game.

OG Battlefront coming back WITH online play is hype as fuck

It's cool that Jack listens to the Levelcap and Matimio's podcast. Also, I think it's safe to call the release of OG Battlefront a remaster. Simply means they updated the resolution but kept the same game code. Anyway, hopefully this does reignite the idea of Battlefront 3 with the space to planet surface fighting be a thing. We could see one of those Star Destroyers fall to the surface like in the Battle of Jakku.

Honestly having similar destruction as The Finals would go absolutely crazy. Or heroes being able to cut holes through walls with lightsabers. And common goals that people could work towards such as in helldivers

I miss the days of hooking up a 15ft ethernet cable across the living room to the PS2 and playing Battlefront 2 when I was about 10 years old. Such a great experience. Loved the Hero TDM battles on Mos Eisley. The space battles where you had to try to take out the enemy teams ship, you could infiltrate it and destroy it from the inside by taking out the shields and other components if I remember correctly. Was a lot of fun back in the day and to have a rejuvenated version of that same experience will be fantastic!

They literally had seamless planet to space transitions in the canceled BF3

Touched on what i feel is a huge issue in this video, Helldivers proves it, and its something ive been saying for years, not everything needs pvp, there are so many games today, that myself, and many others that i know, would love playing, if it werent for the focus on pvp, Tarkov is a perfect example, its amazing to me the advancements in programming, the npc ai, we could have some of the most intense, amazing pve games in history, co-op with friends, but everything wants to be the next cod, valorant, or cs.

I'm buying the classic collection I played those games religiously as a kid

Ubisoft could make the game. Using an updated version of the snowdrop engine. The division 2 has some of the best landscapes imho. And because star wars has so much history, locations and factions it could easily have a game mode like helldivers 2. Helldivers 2 could end up being really good for Star Wars Battlefront 3. Fingers crossed 🤞

I used to play it on my brothers original Xbox, and later on my Xbox One. I loved playing Battlefront splitscreen with my best friend. I have already pre ordered it on PC and can't wait to play it again.

I think the first 3 episodes are off to a great start. Love the tone of it and it feels like they are filling in a lot of gaps in the sequel trilogy with how Palpatine returned.

I've always said that PVP isn't the only way people like to play shooters. PVE has credibility. Thanks for pointing that out jack.

Remember playing on ps2 online as clunky as that online was was! Still good fun

You're saying the things we've been wanting forever! The classic battlefront games are the best games of all time imo especially the second one. I think all that was missing was that space to planet gameplay and I believe they were working on a third game where you could do that and for some reason it was stopped. Would be amazing!

I started following Jack in the BF (2015) era. Loved that game, especially the progressive Death Star DLC. I never had the same amount of fun in BF2, unfortunately. Also enjoyed the graphics and audio a lot more. Dice really nailed the Star Wars feeling of old times. I'd still like to hug the developers and designers for that, or buy them a beer and hug. Also, Jack, I'm absolutely endorsing your BF3 ideas. Now, how to make that happen eh.

We played it and I made a video about a year ago as i mentioned, it’s very good fun indeed!

Dice's vision for Battlefront 3 was actually pitched by then leading BF2 dev, Dennis Brannvall, but due to higher licensing costs, EA rejected the proposal, and so Dennis and many others left Dice - the team there just isn't the same anymore. If you've heard of the Milsim Squad, there's an incredibly well-made Star Wars mod that is the closest we're going to get to a Battlefront 3 for the foreseeable future.

Having a battlefield game with a Star Wars skin would be so amazing. Just the thought of At-Ats and fighters and all the sound effects would be a dream, and I’m not even a heavy Star Wars fan

As someone who still plays this regularly all they have to do is keep this game alive updater it for next gen the graphics are still great all they need is a few new dlc and expand on the hero’s and maps would make so many fans happy

I heard a rumour from a few people that dice pitched battlefront 3 to EA before 2042 was released, and they rejected it from licensing costs. Problem with EA no longer having an exclusive SW license probably

The main thing from the old battlefront that would be great to play again are the space battles and the attack and defend of your battleships. Such a great mode. Can't believe it wasn't done again

Battlefield 2142 has done that. Fight on the ground and when you had captured certain objectives, you could assault the ship in the sky. That was years ago and I still reminisce about it!

Battlefront 3 has to happen and needs to capitalise on the peaked interest of this og collection if it wants to be successful

I'd really like to see a Star Wars Battlefield game. The more recent Battlefronts still look pretty amazing, so maybe a lot of the game assets could be re-used, if EA don't want to spend money on starting from scratch. An FPS only mode, like you suggest would be really cool too.

The team behind helldivers should have a crack at a Star Wars game. Seeing the effort and success of helldivers then they would/could do a good job. The time frame then would be 2-4 years and I would be ok with that.

I hope that a smaller company will develop another Star Wars game. I think if I have learned anything. It's that small developers can really make something fun and quality. We have gotten bangers like Baulders Gate 3, Leathal Company, and now Helldivers 2 from these smaller studios. All I want from gaming at this point is a passionate team bringing their vision to life.
